Area Director

Role Description The Area Director will be responsible for leading a Sales Manager team to achieve top line revenue and sales targets, execute strategic business initiatives and navigate emerging challenges and obstacles within a specific Area. Field Reimbursement Director

Role Description The Reimbursement Liaison Director’s primary role is to facilitate the growth of Glaukos products by leading and coaching field-based reimbursement team members. This role involves working cross-functionally with various teams to ensure a unified platform. The Reimbursement Liaison Director provides strategic leadership and expert guidance to a team of field-based Reimbursement Liaisons, focusing on facilitating patient access to Glaukos’ sight-saving technologies through comprehensive coding, coverage, and payment education and support for healthcare providers (HCPs). Responsibilities include: - Leads and mentors by establishing clear objectives and performance metrics, providing tactical guidance on complex reimbursement issues, and ensuring the team has the necessary resources to meet customer needs. - Establish team SOPs, KPIs, Development opportunities, and oversee a structured performance management framework, including regular evaluations and feedback sessions. - Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities to enhance team performance and expertise in reimbursement practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. - Ensure all reimbursement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and corporate guidelines, mitigating risks associated with non-compliance. - Establish, monitor, report customer engagement, outcomes, and RL SOPs metrics. - Lead Performance Reviews, including ride-alongs/co-travel to provide expertise and coaching in account management, specialty pharmacy, patient assistance programs, buy & bill acquisition, policy reviews, claim reviews, and processing. - Proactively scan/monitor, identify, and report reimbursement trends, taking personal ownership for identifying and communicating solutions via cross-functional collaboration. - Maintain expertise in regional and national payer landscapes, specifically regarding clinical requirements, reimbursement policy, utilization management criteria, prior authorization processes, and appeal requirements. - Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, including overnight travel (~50%) and attendance at scheduled training and meetings. Role Description The Reimbursement Liaison will serve as an expert in reimbursement policies, as well as patient and provider support, to ensure patients have access to Glaukos’ sight-saving technologies. The Reimbursement Liaison works with physician practices (both private and hospital-affiliated institutions) and interacts directly with key management personnel, providers, and staff members to assure patient access to care. - Educates HCPs and their office staff on clinical documentation, securing treatment approvals, patient tracking, claim submission, reconciliation management, patient education, drug inventory, patient copay assistance, and drug acquisition channels. - Helps HCPs understand barriers that may impede or delay appropriate patient access to treatment and/or prevent optimal patient outcomes. - Provides education on appropriate and accurate billing and coding practices for Glaukos’ products in line with payer requirements. - Must be organized and detail-oriented with demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities. - Manages multiple business initiatives and cross-functional relationships. This individual will achieve quarterly sales objectives by engaging targeted ophthalmic surgeons, providing clinical support during procedures, and delivering hands-on training to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The IGBM manages the territory strategically, focusing on customer success, business growth, and long-term partnership development.
