• Prospect and identify new business opportunities through targeted cold outreach, including personalized email campaigns and multi-touch sequences. • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit and intent, then set and participate in discovery and introductory meetings with our Chief Revenue Officer and team. • Attend and actively participate in industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to generate pipeline and build brand awareness. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect activity, pipeline status, and communications through customer relationship management best practices. • Collaborate with Marketing to refine messaging, optimize outreach sequences, and provide feedback from prospect conversations. • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach activity, qualified opportunities created, and meetings set. • Stay current on the tech industry and startup trends, competitive landscape within venture-backed companies, and sales tool and product developments to engage prospects in an efficient and credible manner.

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer • Provide insight and recommendations related to clients’ growth strategy, as well as input regarding the financial implications of major business decisions • Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems that capture and utilize timely and accurate data across clients’ business, as well as financial planning, budgets, forecasting and closing processes • Analyze clients’ financial results with respect to profits, trends, cost and compliance with budgets • Present and provide insight on financial results with a narrative on results, variances to plan, trends, and key metrics • Provide leadership in the execution of financial transactions, including financing, acquisitions, facilities, and partnerships • Manage cash utilization, and debt facilitates to maintain a strong foundation of liquidity for clients’ growth • Collaborate with clients’ CRO and sales team on contracts and contract processes • Serve as a liaison between clients and their outside legal counsel • Oversee clients’ stock option, commission, and benefit plans • Direct and support FSM staff assigned to client engagements • Ensure deliverables meet FSM’s quality standard • Provide five-star client service

• Develop and Scale FP&A Functionality • Build out robust FP&A processes and systems to support the company’s clients’ growth and scalability. • Implement financial forecasting models, budgeting frameworks, and reporting tools. • Support our clients’ annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational and client goals. • Assist financial analysts analyze clients’ financial trends, KPIs, and business drivers to provide actionable insights to executive leadership. • Oversee preparation of internal and client-facing financial reports, including variance analyses, trend reports, and dashboards. • Manage, mentor, and develop the FP&A team, ensuring high performance and professional growth. • Work cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operational teams to provide comprehensive financial guidance. • Collaborate with CFOs and other stakeholders to design FP&A solutions tailored to the needs of early-stage, investor-backed businesses. • Support clients in preparing for fundraising efforts by developing financial models and investor presentations. • Evaluate and implement financial planning tools and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting and forecasting.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of payroll tax filings (e.g., Forms 941, 940, W-2, W-3), sales tax filings, and other regulatory filings across applicable jurisdictions. • Register for new payroll tax and sales tax accounts as needed due to business expansion or remote workforce coverage. • Reconcile payroll tax liabilities, sales tax obligations, and payments regularly, resolving discrepancies as needed. • Monitor and stay informed on changes in payroll tax legislation, sales tax laws, GAAP, and other accounting regulations, ensuring compliance. • Manage and maintain employee tax data, including tax jurisdictions and residency details. • Respond to tax notices and inquiries from authorities, coordinating resolutions with internal and external stakeholders. • Make outbound calls to federal, state, and local tax agencies to resolve filing discrepancies, confirm account status, request penalty abatements, and follow up on outstanding notices. • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate processing and reporting of wages, benefits, deductions, and taxes. • Assist in year-end tax processing, including W-2 distributions and final sales tax filings. • Recommend improvements and automation opportunities to enhance payroll tax, sales tax, and accounting compliance efficiency. • Support internal audit processes by preparing and organizing documentation, workpapers, and supporting schedules across accounting and finance functions for audit review. • Respond to internal audit inquiries by gathering and providing requested documentation across accounting, finance, and compliance functions. • Support the Internal Audit Manager in periodic compliance reviews across accounting and finance processes, identifying control gaps and preparing remediation recommendations. • Maintain organized audit trails across accounting and finance operations, including tax filings, payments, journal entries, and correspondence to ensure ongoing audit readiness.

• Leadership of FSM staff accountants; planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions for clients • Take ownership of the monthly financial close, reconciliation of accounts and G/L analysis for clients (key accounts such as revenue, unearned revenue, and accrued expenses) • Prepare month-end reporting package with financial statements and variance analysis for clients • Review and ensure journal entries are posted accurately • Review and ensure client GL accounts are accurately reconciled • Manage clients’ back office finance functions (e.g., A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.) • Assess clients’ current account operations, make recommendations for improvement and implementing new systems and processes • Ensure deliverables meet the firm’s quality standards • Identify and communicate engagement matters to clients, managers and partners • Provide five-star client service

• Oversee the HR functions for clients, reviewing and monitoring all policies and systems • Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and employee relations • Align HR initiatives and people strategy with business needs • Build relationships as a trusted HR advisor to key client stakeholders • Proactively identify trends and propose actions related to employee engagement • Develop new HR policies and review existing ones for changing environments
