Role Description EnSafe is seeking a Client Director of Environmental Services to join our growing environmental consulting practice. This role is designed for a senior-level professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong private-sector client leadership and business development capability, particularly with industrial, commercial, and corporate clients. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams, lead complex projects, and play a key role in expanding EnSafe’s presence across priority markets and service lines. This is a full-time position that may be based in any existing EnSafe office location, driving growth across EnSafe’s full suite of environmental, engineering, and compliance services for private-sector clients. Additionally, for the right candidate with established private-sector client relationships and the ability to attract and develop staff, this role offers the opportunity to help launch and grow a new EnSafe office location. Key Responsibilities - Serve as a senior leader driving profitable growth within EnSafe’s private-sector environmental consulting practice. - Develop new client relationships while strengthening long-standing partnerships with industrial, commercial, and corporate clients. - Personally engage in the pursuit and delivery of strategic consulting work for private-sector organizations. - Lead client relationships as Client and Project Manager or primary client contact for key private-client engagements. - Direct and oversee the successful execution of projects, ensuring technical quality, safety, schedule, and financial performance. - Apply advanced technical expertise to support client decision-making and project outcomes. - Navigate local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks as they relate to private-sector compliance and permitting. - Mentor and develop staff through coaching, technical guidance, and a collaborative, “learn-by-doing” culture. - Collaborate closely with Principals, Practice Leaders, and Operations leaders across EnSafe. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe. As a PFAS/Emerging Contaminants Market Leader, you will combine business development leadership, subject matter expertise, and strategic vision to strengthen EnSafe’s position as a trusted advisor to clients navigating the complex regulatory and technical challenges associated with PFAS and other emerging contaminants. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES In this position, you will: Strategic and Market Leadership - Enhance and execute EnSafe’s PFAS and emerging contaminants growth strategy, in collaboration with the firm’s executive and technical leadership teams. - Expand EnSafe’s market presence through strategic engagement with industrial, commercial, and government clients, as well as law firms and regulatory stakeholders. - Represent EnSafe in the marketplace as a thought leader through publications, presentations, and professional organization participation. - Develop and support market initiatives, positioning EnSafe as a preferred PFAS solutions partner for complex environmental and compliance challenges. Technical Leadership and Project Oversight - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PFAS investigation, treatment, and compliance projects, guiding clients through regulatory and technical complexities. - Provide regulatory and litigation support on contaminant fate, transport, remedial approaches, and expert testimony when needed. - Lead PFAS/emerging contaminant data evaluation, visualization, and remediation teams to develop effective solutions. - Collaborate across disciplines and offices to integrate PFAS work with EnSafe’s broader environmental, compliance, and engineering capabilities. Team Development and Mentorship - Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with market needs, regulatory requirements, and technical excellence. - Provide mentoring, career development, and performance guidance to junior and mid-level staff. - Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative culture that empowers others to lead. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum Skills and Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Geology/Hydrogeology, or related discipline. - 12+ years of consulting experience, including significant leadership in PFAS and emerging contaminant site investigation, fate and transport, remediation, and regulatory interface. - Proven business development success, including client relationship management, proposal development, and project acquisition. - Strong communication and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to lead client engagements and multidisciplinary teams. - Ability to travel for client development, conferences, EnSafe engagement/leadership, project oversight, and other senior leadership responsibilities. Role Description This role involves supporting proposal development, marketing communications, and brand consistency across EnSafe’s operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong writing and organizational skills with creativity and a keen eye for detail and design. - Proposal Coordination: - Coordinate and prepare high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs under the Proposal Manager’s supervision. - Support Proposal Manager during the proposal process from go/no-go, kickoff to submission, including scheduling, task assignments, quality assurance reviews, and proposal closeout. - Collaborate with project managers, technical staff, and business development leaders to gather and synthesize technical content. - Maintain and update project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials within the proposal library. - Coordinate and assemble smaller proposal efforts and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs). - Deconstruct proposals. - Update and maintain supporting documentation, including SF330 Part IIs. - Marketing Communications: - Support Communications/Marketing Director and Graphics team with social media, SharePoint, and website content in alignment with EnSafe’s brand identity. - Brand & Quality Management: - Ensure all materials adhere to EnSafe’s branding standards and corporate messaging. - Perform quality control checks for formatting, grammar, and compliance with client and internal standards. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field. - 1-3 years of experience in marketing, proposal coordination, or related roles — AEC industry is required (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction). Requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) is highly desirable. - Experience with CRM systems (such as Unanet, SalesForce, or Deltek Vision) preferred. - Familiarity with social media platforms and tools.
