Manager - Software Publisher Services – Japan Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your Software License Compliance skills and experience to the next level? Connor is seeking a Japan-based project consultant to support active software audit engagements in the region. While titled Manager for external purposes, this is a project-level role focused on in-country support. The successful candidate will serve as the local point of contact for Japanese-language communication, bridging Connor’s internal audit lead team and subject matter experts with end customers to ensure audit activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Main Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary Japanese-language liaison between Connor’s internal audit team and the end customer throughout the duration of the audit engagement. - Translate and interpret communications, documents, and data requests between Japanese-speaking customers and Connor’s English-speaking audit leads and subject matter experts. - Coordinate and track outstanding audit data requests with the customer, following up proactively to ensure timely responses and that audit milestones are met. - Facilitate communication between internal Connor audit experts and the customer to clarify requirements, resolve questions, and maintain audit momentum. - Escalate issues or delays promptly to the Connor audit lead to ensure the engagement remains on schedule. - Maintain organized records of communications, document requests, and customer responses throughout the audit lifecycle. - Support scheduling and logistics of audit-related meetings and calls between Connor team members and customer stakeholders. Requirements Experience, Skills, and Characteristics - Native or business-level fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) required; professional English proficiency required for internal team communications. - Prior experience in a client-facing, coordination, or liaison role, preferably in professional services, consulting, or compliance. - Familiarity with software licensing, IT asset management, or audit processes is a strong plus. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple open items and follow through to resolution. - Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision. - Comfortable working across time zones and adapting communication style to different stakeholders. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. - Culturally sensitive and adept at navigating business relationships in Japan. - Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams preferred. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in translated communications and documentation. • Write, design, and maintain a library of sales-facing content including pitch decks, capability overviews, one-pagers, case studies, service descriptions, and email templates. • Partner with subject matter experts and practice leaders to develop original thought leadership and client-ready narratives that differentiate Connor Consulting in the market. • Refresh and tailor existing collateral for specific industries, buyer personas, and stages of the sales cycle. • Maintain version control, taxonomy, and discoverability of content within the sales enablement library so the team can find what they need quickly. • Lead end-to-end development of responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs - coordinating contributors, owning the writing, and producing a polished, on-brand final deliverable. • Build and maintain a curated answer library of approved RFx responses, boilerplate language, bios, and qualifications so future proposals can be assembled faster and more consistently. • Drive the RFx process: kickoff meetings, content assignments, internal reviews, compliance checks against the RFx requirements, and final production. • Continuously improve win-themes, executive summaries, and proposal templates based on feedback from sales, clients, and pursuit debriefs. • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, delivery, and leadership to surface new content needs and prioritize the development backlog. • Train the sales team on how to use new content, position key messages, and tailor materials for their conversations. • Track content usage and proposal outcomes; use that data to refine what we produce and how we deploy it.
