Hiring Process You’ll complete a short practical exercise designed to assess how you structure and communicate complex information clearly and logically.

Overview The Product Operations Associate role sits at the intersection of Product and Operations (as the name suggests). You’ll become an expert on nearly all parts of our product and use this knowledge to help our support, product, sales, and operations teams refine their work and serve our customers better. Day-to-Day Product Operations Associates have 3 core responsibilities: - The first is making sure customers and the support team are prepared for new product releases. This involves drafting announcements, writing help articles, creating and refining scalable SOPs, and owning rollout coordination. - The second is supporting the product team by finding bugs and pitching improvements. So you’ll be auditing support tickets, calling customers, testing the app, creating small PRs for engineering review (with the help of AI), and delivering findings to Product Managers (PMs) through clear and concise writing. - And third, you’ll be flexing in wherever the business needs you. This could mean testing a new notification strategy, creating product training for sales teams, or setting up an AI agent to reduce manual workloads. We’ll support you wherever your curiosity takes you! Your first few days will be a crash course on our product and our customers. You’ll speak directly with customers to learn about what they love and what they don’t love about Clipboard, review documents to learn how we operate and communicate, and dig into customer issues by auditing support tickets and exploring our products yourself. Who We’re Looking For We aren’t looking for a particular background for this role, but you will need to possess the qualities and skills listed below to thrive: - Curiosity. You will work with almost every part of our organization, and you will encounter processes that are not optimal, instructions that are out of date, and bugs in our products. It’s part of your job to be curious enough to notice these things when you encounter them, dig deeper into why they exist, and think of something better. - Ownership. This goes hand-in-hand with curiosity. Once you’ve found a solution for a problem, your instinct is to fix it yourself. You’ll call the customer directly, create a PR, rewrite the article, whatever is needed. And if you can’t prioritize it over your other work, you’ll put it in your backlog and message others that may be able to implement it faster. - Clear, concise, and persuasive writing. Being a mostly remote company, we rely heavily on communicating your ideas through writing. You should be able to write a memo that product managers or operations leadership can read, understand, and implement immediately without much ambiguity. - Basic technical/coding capabilities. You don’t have to be an expert, but you should be able to understand how to read and debug a SQL query or Python script. You should also be able to differentiate between easy and hard engineering tasks so you can make product suggestions that are grounded in reality. Hiring Process - Application - Case Study - Case Interview with a Product Ops team member - Interview with Alex Dettmer, Head of Worker Experience - Interview with Samay Jhunjhunwalla, Head of Operations - Interview with one of our Co-CEOs, Bo Lu or Wei Deng *After submitting your application, please check your spam folder periodically over the next few days for updates.

About the Role The Account Manager will be instrumental in helping grow and retain Clipboard's existing markets. Healthcare providers are core to the Clipboard marketplace — the Account Manager is in charge of nurturing and expanding relationships with current users, going deep with those users to understand their needs, and ensuring they're consistently successful on the platform. There's no ceiling to what you can achieve in this role — if you're highly motivated to go above and beyond, a diligent executor, and a strong written/verbal communicator, Clipboard is the place for you to excel. Responsibilities - Managing and growing relationships with an existing portfolio of healthcare providers and dental offices - Clearly articulating the value proposition of the app to current users to drive continued engagement and expansion - Going deep with healthcare providers and dental offices to uncover their evolving needs, understand their challenges, and find ways to genuinely help them succeed on the platform - Establishing credibility and rapport with providers, which includes demonstrating a strong understanding of the app - Being the go-to point of contact for users that need help navigating the app, resolving issues, and getting the most out of the platform - Helping fill new and urgent shifts in your assigned markets Qualifications - Willingness to hustle / lack of fear - Experience texting, emailing, and talking with English-speaking clients and prospects Requirements - Stable high-speed internet connection - A computer workstation (laptop or desktop) - Internationally located (not in the US or Canada) - Availability to work US working hours - Fluency in English speaking and writing Beyond the Basics — What Will Make You Successful - Noticing & Curiosity — You pick up on things others miss and ask "why" more than once because the first answer is rarely the whole story. You dig to understand the root of a problem or situation rather than accepting things at face value, and you're constantly updating your understanding of the customers you serve. - Initiative & Persistence — You have a bias for action. You know that our customers are dealing with real problems today, and you don't wait for perfect information before making a move. You're scrappy and self-reliant, you find ways through obstacles rather than around them, and you bring solutions instead of asking "what should I do?" - Ownership — The buck stops with you, no matter what anyone else did or did not do. You take full responsibility for your results, fix problems when you see them — even outside your immediate area — and put processes in place to make sure those problems don't happen again. - Customer-Centric — You feel your customers' situations genuinely and care about improving their lives, not just hitting a number. Talking to customers and solving their problems isn't a task on your list — it's the job. - Humble — You're low ego and care about getting to the best outcome, not about being right. You readily admit when you don't know something, you actively seek out feedback, and you're always looking to become a better version of yourself. Benefits - Do great work that matters for customers who could really use your help - Competitive pay - Unlimited PTO - Fully Remote Estimated annual compensation: $12,000–$15,600 USD. Each candidate's compensation offer within this range will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, and geographic location.

About The Team: This role sits within our People team, but we're not your typical People team. We aren’t focused on writing policies or telling people what they can’t do; we’re problem chasers, focused on identifying the most important jobs to be done in order to best support the organization. If you ask anyone here what they think about our team, we will hope they would say: “They enforce high standards across the org,” “They are my go-to resource to think through tough people problems,” and “They are some of the most strategic thinkers and problem solvers in the org”. About This Opportunity Honestly, we think your typical JD is deceptively unhelpful for high-growth startups. We're a team of entrepreneurial problem solvers who get excited about making the lives of our internal customers (Clipboard team members) better and building a next-generation People function. The day-to-day of the role constantly are constantly shifting, but here’s some examples of what you can expect to do: - Partner with leaders and managers across the company on key personnel decisions and challenges. This could include everything from designing an automation to help a team with a hiring push, to conducting exit conversations, to coaching a manager through a decision about a leave of absence, and everything in between. - Conduct quarterly departmental “audits” that dive deep into each team and use these findings to partner with department leaders to create strategic and impactful changes that improve how each team, and our company as a whole, operates. - Own and execute initiatives that have team-wide or organizational-wide impact, such as running point on a new system implementation or rebuilding a core onboarding or offboarding process. - Notice and constantly solve problems of all kinds. You notice what’s not working, connect the dots, and take ownership of making it better. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with significant opportunities for skill development and expanded influence within the organization. Please note that this position does not include a direct path to people management within the People team. You can learn more about us through a post from our Head of People, our careers page, and this video from Carmen on our team, providing more details on the role and answering some of the most frequently asked questions about this opportunity. The Ideal Candidate - Likely won’t come from a traditional HR background - while this role sits within the People team, our organization is not focused on traditional HR and People initiatives, so we have found some of the most successful people don’t have HR/People Ops backgrounds, and therefore, don’t have any preconceived ideas of what HR is and what HR should do. - Is okay with chaos - we are still very much a high-growth start-up, which means things change frequently. You can adapt to the needs of the business and can pivot at the drop of a hat. You don’t overly impose structure and organization where it is not needed but do see where a system or process could make a meaningful difference. - Is a game for anything - your motto is “put me in coach”. It doesn’t matter where, or what you are doing, you are game to take it on and figure it out. You aren’t scared to do something new or something you think you won’t like because you see the big picture, and are most interested in chasing the most important problems. - Knows their limits - you need to be self-aware enough, and have good enough judgment, to know what you don’t know. You can assess the situation accurately, and tell yourself to seek additional help when a wrong decision could have serious implications for the business. - Enjoys being challenged, stretched, and pushed - you continually push and challenge yourself, but you seek it from your peers and managers also. You thrive off of feedback, and find ways of implementing to get immediate traction. Other Important Information - This role does not offer visa sponsorship at this time. - Location: Must reside in Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time and by able to work a Pacific or Mountain hours.

Overview Our Product Operations Associate role is suited for the “all-around athlete” type who can do it all and wants exposure to a range of problems and opportunities. You’ll become an expert on nearly all parts of our product and a go-to problem-solver for the organization. Day to Day The Product Operations team sits at the intersection of Product and Operations (as the name suggests), and we have 3 core responsibilities: - The first is making sure customers and the support team are prepared for new product releases. Who We’re Looking For We find those who are most successful in this type of role: - Are insatiably curious. Curiosity sits atop our company values, and it will be the strongest indicator of success in this role. If you have a natural and unwavering ability to keep asking questions and digging, you’ll go far. - Write clearly, concisely, and persuasively. Being a mostly remote company, we rely heavily on communicating your ideas through writing. You should be able to write a memo that people can read, understand, and buy into quickly and easily. - Roll up their sleeves and go to the source. Don’t just take someone’s word for it – go find out yourself by testing the feature, listening to the agent call, calling the customer, or executing the workflow. This is how you seek truth. - Bounce back from failure quickly. You’ll make mistakes, move in the wrong direction, and stumble from time-to-time. Just avoid big mistakes, don’t make the same mistakes twice, and learn from them quickly. - Have some technical/coding capabilities. You don’t have to be an expert, but you should be able to understand how to read and debug a SQL query or Python script. You should also be able to differentiate between easy and hard engineering tasks so you can make product suggestions that are grounded in reality.
