Build your future with us Cincinnati Re, a division of The Cincinnati Insurance Company, seeks an experienced reinsurance contract wording professional to join the Cincinnati Re Legal team. This position is fully remote. Salary The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $225,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Be ready to: - review a variety of market-produced assumed and ceded reinsurance contracts for accuracy, completeness and consistency, including each party’s intent and compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards - communicate in written and verbal form with stakeholders regarding contract wording and any regulatory and compliance issues - negotiate contract terms with counterparties - continue your education by staying current on reinsurance contract wording developments - communicate the importance and impact of wording trends to underwriters and managers - continually develop specialized knowledge of all Cincinnati Re business to anticipate and identify compliance, regulatory and contract wording solutions - collaborate with various stakeholders, including underwriters, Claims associates and Legal colleagues to improve contract wording and legal processes - effectively manage time and meet deadlines Be equipped with: - a sustained track record in a reinsurance contract specialist role or similar position - working knowledge of reinsurance and primary insurance standards, practices and principles - strong knowledge of specific contract and policy features and lines of business - excellent analytical and communication skills - very high attention to detail and accuracy - the ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments - excellent skills with technology, including Outlook, Word, Adobe and Excel - full understanding of the deal and analysis of the contract, including drafting and suggesting alternative wording as needed Bring education and experience from: - a college degree (required) - a law degree and/or CPCU designation (preferred) - a minimum of five years of experience in reinsurance contract wording or a legal capacity Enhance your talents Providing outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our independent agents are hallmarks of our company.
