Civil Municipal/Land Development Project Engineer We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our growing Civil team in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Civil Municipal/Land Development design, along with comprehensive knowledge of Municipal and Land Development projects. This role requires expertise in preparing plans in accordance with current industry standards, local ordinances, and state permitting regulations. This position may also involve transportation projects performing stormwater design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and erosion control permitting. Location This position will be a hybrid position in the Benesch Pottsville, Pennsylvania office. Key Projects Leading the Way - Alvernia University – Ongoing University Projects: Strengthening educational infrastructure through long-term collaboration on new and renovated school facilities - Hazleton Area School District – Ongoing School Projects: Expansion of existing school facilities with numerous site improvements for increased safety and improved traffic flows - NorthPoint Development – Mountain Valley Logistics Center and Highridge Logistics Center: Civil/Site design for a national real estate developer. Design and received approval for over 7 million square feet of industrial warehouse space. - Land Development projects including residential subdivisions, municipal facilities, and commercial and industrial buildings with associated design and permitting. - Local Municipalities and Counties – Various Projects: Enhancing local infrastructure and recreation facilities including roadways, bridges, parks, and recreational courts. The Impact You Will Have - Lead site development projects from concept through final design and construction support. - Develop and execute project schedules and work plans - Manage project teams with accountability for budget and schedule - Mentor and support junior staff in technical and professional development - Contribute to Division strategic growth initiatives and collaborate on regional growth strategy - Interact with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, including the Municipal and County government and permitting agencies. - Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events - Identify new business opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits What We Are Looking For - Minimum of 5 years of diverse and progressive civil design experience - Licensed PE in the state of PA or planning to obtain licensure in the near future - B.S. Municipal /Water Resources/ Project Engineer We have a career opportunity for an experienced engineer who has previous experience with municipal projects including stormwater, water distribution, and sanitary sewer projects. • Lead complex geotechnical projects from concept through completion, managing budget, schedule, and quality. • Oversee field explorations, subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and construction observation. • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and proposals that support project delivery and business development. • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver innovative geotechnical solutions. • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance across projects. • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to ensure successful outcomes.

• Daily oversight of contractors' day-to-day work. • Enforce contractor responsibilities and ensure strict compliance with contract specifications. • Accurately measure and validate contractor quantities in alignment with contract terms. • Generate comprehensive daily construction reports to monitor progress and document daily undertakings. • Monitor quality assurance documentation to verify conformity with quality standards. • Maintain daily Field Book entries in line with documentation requisites. • Track the advancement of construction activities to produce detailed work reports for field orders. • Participate in progress meetings to provide updates when necessary. • Collaborate closely with Resident Project managers to facilitate the resolution of technical challenges.

• Provide railroad project management services and work with various local and state government agency project sponsors on public highway projects that require railroad coordination, including design oversight and construction coordination for at-grade railroad-highway crossings. • Review and handle initial project requests from local and state government agencies, citizens, consultants, and developers that may impact railroad property/right of way. • Review Outside Party plan submissions for compliance with client railroad standards, MUTCD, and AREMA. • Serve in a seller-doer role, balancing technical delivery with client interaction and relationship building. • Prepare reports, documentation, and technical memoranda relied on by clients and stakeholders. • Report and communicate with the owning railroad’s managers and manage cost-effective coordination. • Review project work plans in collaboration with team members with other areas of expertise and Agency designers. • Manage project updates, implementation of new processes, and continued maintenance of project databases. • Monitor project budget, scope, quality control, and schedule estimates. • Coordinate inspection and construction monitoring requirements with the field personnel. • Apply design standards, codes, and safety requirements across all projects. • Perform project reporting and other project file-related practices. • Travel to project sites as needed to meet client and project requirements. • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintain up-to-date records. • Prepare and review project correspondence and reports. • Schedule and conduct project meetings with internal and external project stakeholders. • Establish and maintain positive client relationships. • Coordinate work with sub-consultants and assist with agreements. • Assist in contract negotiations and conflict resolution. • Complete necessary project initiation and compliance forms. • Verify invoices and prepare contract compliance support. • Ensure compliance with quality guidelines and procedures.
