• Architect and own the end-to-end PLM landscape, including Windchill configuration, data models, workflows, and integrations with ERP, CAD, and MES systems. • Define PLM standards, templates, and best practices; establish change management processes for BOM structures, engineering change orders (ECOs), and document control. • Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to capture business requirements and translate them into scalable PLM architecture and process designs. • Drive system integrations between Windchill/Creo and downstream enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP/MES) assisting engineers to design our APIs, middleware, and integration platforms. • Lead upgrades, migrations, and new module rollouts — from scoping and architecture through user acceptance testing and go-live support. • Mentor junior PLM analysts and administrators; provide technical guidance and review architectural decisions across the team. • Establish KPIs for PLM health, adoption, and data quality; produce executive-level reporting on platform performance and roadmap progress.
Role Description We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, visually compelling, and user-friendly digital experiences that support the operation, monitoring, and management of our robotic systems. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate complex technical workflows into elegant, efficient interfaces. Robotics experience is helpful but not required—what matters most is your ability to simplify complexity, advocate for the user, and bring a strong design perspective to multidisciplinary collaboration. This is a remote-friendly role with a preference for candidates located near one of our offices for in-person collaboration, meetings, and events. About The Work - Lead the end-to-end design process for robot and web based UI: e.g. create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets ready for implementation by our development team. - Improve the UX/UI of features implemented by our development teams. - Design industry leading user interfaces and experiences for robot operator tools, dashboards, and mobile/web/VR applications. - Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across platforms. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align design solutions with technical feasibility and business needs. - Assist our HRI/UX Researcher in conducting user research and usability testing, and then iterate based on feedback. - Create intuitive visualizations for real-time data, robot status, and system controls. - Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging design trends. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field—or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience. - Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web or software applications. - Experience designing complex systems, dashboards, or technical tools for enterprise software. - Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). - Experience with prototyping and usability testing. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Authorization to work in the USA. Bonus Points - Familiarity with robotics, IoT, or industrial automation interfaces. - Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for better design-engineering collaboration. Salary and Benefits The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This range may change based on geographical location and may be modified in the future. • Software Development & Execution: Build and maintain the operating system images used on robots and edge devices, including the bootloader, kernel, device drivers, filesystems, and system libraries. • System Orchestration & Security: Take ownership of technical projects within the robot platform stack, including service management and orchestration systems using systemd and k3s, secure local and remote service access mechanisms, robust installation and over-the-air (OTA) software update mechanisms, and provisioning and commissioning scripts for core device environments. • Code Quality & Reliability: Write clean and maintainable code, while contributing to thorough code reviews and automated testing suites. • Debugging & Troubleshooting: Actively troubleshoot complex low-level issues across the robot software stack, focusing on OS-level bugs and hardware-software integration challenges. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and robot software engineers to implement the features and interfaces they need to succeed, contributing to the evolution of our developer tooling and internal best practices to improve team velocity and software quality.
