Role Description
At Dev.Pro, a US-based company, we're looking for contractors to work on projects that impact millions of people around the world. We’re seeking an experienced and talented Sr. QA Engineer/SDET to help build an innovative and market-leading product at a fintech from an early stage.
The Senior QA Engineer / SDET will contribute to scaling our blockchain and AI testing practices focusing on:

Blockchain validation, verification, and testing processes using various non-UI and UI methods.

Blending traditional automation engineering with protocol-level validation, observability-driven testing, and infrastructure-aware debugging.

Working in partnership with senior engineers and business to ensure quality delivery of solutions and implementations.
Our business operates in the growing sector of private markets and touches many of the fastest-evolving areas in the digital world today, such as blockchain and AI.
Qualifications
-
Roughly 5+ years experience in software testing/SDET roles with an emphasis on various automated solutions where UI is not the main focus.

Experience with blockchain-based solutions in testing and validation.

Experience with Foundry/Hardhat in either testing and/or development capacity.

Experience with Smart Contract development (Solidity, Rust) challenges.

Strong problem-solving skills including:

Investigating root causes, not symptoms.

Using multiple system surfaces to validate truth.
-
Understanding eventual consistency.
-
Comfortable testing infrastructure without GUIs.
-
Treating observability as a testing tool.
-
Thriving in ambiguous, evolving environments.
-
Blockchain internal architecture familiarity (e.g. EVM vs IBC vs Consensus).

API/RPC/gRPC Testing experience with industry tools and/or homegrown.

Database solutions such as MongoDB, PostGres, or other NoSQL solutions.

Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Requirements

Ability to break down solutions conceptually into testable components and develop plans for testing, verification, and validation.

Identify solution risk areas and develop test harnesses that fit into the SDLC.
-
Utilize tools and test harnesses to accelerate current testing practices.
-
Work with the Engineering team to evolve testing practices to improve coverage, ensure compliance, and accelerate timelines.

Demonstrate test coverage with test solutions.
-
Integrate test practices into CI/CD solutions that generate metrics and visibility.
-
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
-
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Foster an open-minded approach with regards to test tools and approaches.
-
Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
-
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
-
Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance software quality.

Identify inconsistencies in requirements including key responsibilities, skills, or qualifications.
