• Lead digital content strategy to ensure ACF web and intranet content is user-centered, mission-aligned, and compliant with federal standards. • Oversee content creation, editing, publishing, and maintenance within the enterprise Drupal CMS, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency. • Support Section 508 and WCAG compliance and adherence to the 21st Century IDEA across all digital communications. • Optimize content performance through analytics, SEO strategy, metadata management, and structured content best practices. • Collaborate within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional coordination with UX, development, and project management teams. • Support user research and human-centered design efforts, incorporating usability findings, journey maps, and stakeholder insights into content improvements. • Manage and prioritize content requests and tickets, ensuring timely delivery of updates and rapid-response communications when needed. • Contribute to governance and workflow improvements, helping refine publishing standards, content lifecycle processes, and distributed authoring models. • Develop training materials and provide guidance to federal stakeholders and content contributors on CMS usage, editorial standards, and best practices. • Provide strategic communications counsel to ACF stakeholders, translating complex policy and programmatic information into accessible, actionable digital content.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus at least 7 years of related experience in communications, content strategy or a similar field
- Excellent stakeholder management skills – ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Excellent organizational skills – ability to manage multiple content calendars
- Strong content strategy skills
- Demonstrated experience with digital content creation, preferably working in a Drupal CMS environment
- Experience with analyzing and distilling SEO data
- Creative-thinker and problem-solver interested in participating in brainstorming sessions and improving best practices
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

The Associate Director, Media & Patient Communications will operate within a collaborative Corporate Affairs Team to coordinate media relations, patient advocacy communications, public affairs strategies, and issues/crisis communications for the U.S. region (with global coordination). This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs and partnering closely with patient experience, legal, regulatory, commercial, and medical affairs teams.
