Field Service Engineer

Intuitive

• Perform service tasks in an assigned territory, including maintenance, repair, commissioning, and software updates of Intuitive products. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical faults on all Intuitive systems and associated devices according to established processes and service level agreements. • Properly document all service and repair activities. • Coordinate and carry out system and hardware deliveries, installations, and commissioning. • Independently complete all administrative tasks, including spare parts management, service reports, return merchandise authorizations (RMA), expense reports, and other field service documentation within specified deadlines. • Act as the technical interface between the manufacturer and customers. • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, including ensuring correct system base configurations. • Provide technical customer support during regular operations. • Support customer trainings, briefings, and events as needed. • Provide assistance and coverage in adjacent or neighboring service areas as required.

Job Requirements

  • Completed vocational training or degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in medical technology (medtech), ideally with knowledge of operating room (OR) procedures and clinical workflows.
  • Solid technical knowledge, particularly in working with complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in field service and the ability to independently perform fault analysis and repair on complex technical systems.
  • Strong team orientation as well as the ability to work independently and responsibly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; French is a plus.
  • High interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and internal contacts.
  • Structured and reliable administrative working style with strong documentation skills.
  • High willingness to travel (approx. 50–70%), depending on region and customer distribution.
