System Engineer II
Monogram Health
• Designs, develops, tests, and deploys features end-to-end within assigned systems with moderate oversight • Troubleshoots and resolves issues across environments, escalating when appropriate with proposed solutions • Writes clean, maintainable, well-tested code or configurations that meet team quality and security standards • Participates actively in code/configuration reviews, providing constructive and thoughtful feedback • Collaborates with product management, QA, and cross-functional partners to translate requirements into technical implementations • Supports peers through knowledge sharing, pair work, and informal coaching • Identifies and communicates risks, dependencies, and blockers proactively during delivery • Contributes to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, documentation, and team practices • Leverages AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and support learning • Participates in a shared on-call rotation to support production reliability and patient safety; on-call rotates across the team and volume is generally low
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional engineering experience
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, CI/CD practices, and agile delivery
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language or platform relevant to assigned domain
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to quality
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Experience working within agile delivery teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services (VMs, VNets, App Services, AKS, Storage, Key Vault)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Bicep)
- Strong knowledge of Entra ID, SSO/SAML, and identity & access management
- Understanding of networking fundamentals — DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, load balancing, and firewall rules
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
