Founding Account Executive
Aktos
Founding Account Executive Location: Remote (US-Based)Team: SalesType: Full-time About Aktos Debt collection software is broken — and we're fixing it. Aktos is a modern platform purpose-built for debt collection agencies to run their entire business, replacing the patchwork of legacy systems they’ve had to rely on for decades. Our software is fast, intuitive, and automates the repetitive and error-prone workflows that cost teams time and money. We're building the next-generation infrastructure for the industry — and beyond. We're a tight-knit team of builders, dreamers, and doers backed by world-class investors like 8VC and Crew Capital. Our customers love us, and our growth is accelerating. Now we’re looking for our Founding Account Executive to bring Aktos to the next wave of customers. About the Role As our first full-time sales hire, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, directly closing deals, and setting the foundation for a world-class sales motion. This is a rare opportunity to get in early at a fast-moving startup and help define how we sell, who we sell to, and how we win. You’ll work closely with our CEO, product, and customer success teams to deeply understand the customer journey and help agencies adopt software that actually works for them. The sales stack we use: - CRM: HubSpot - Prospecting Tools: ZoomInfo, Apollo - Other: Grain, Slack, Zoom, etc. What You'll Do - Own the entire sales process from first call to close — including prospecting, qualifying, demoing, and negotiating. - Partner with leadership to define ICPs, refine messaging, and improve sales playbooks. - Collaborate with product and customer success to relay user feedback and shape roadmap priorities. - Track your pipeline, forecast deals, and manage opportunities in our CRM. - Experiment rapidly and iterate — cold calls, events, outbound campaigns, whatever moves the needle. - Lay the groundwork for a scalable sales org: tools, processes, and early hiring. You Might Be a Fit If You: - Have 1–3 years of experience in a full-cycle sales role, ideally at a startup or in a technical SaaS environment. - Are a strong communicator who can simplify complex products for non-technical buyers. - Are scrappy, proactive, and thrive in ambiguity — you don’t wait to be told what to do. - Care deeply about customer outcomes and love building trust through consultative selling. - Want to help build something from zero and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty. - Have some familiarity with SMB/vertical SaaS, payments, or fintech (bonus points for collections experience). Why Join Us? - 💼 Be a true owner — this is not just another AE role. You'll be foundational to our GTM. - 🚀 Work at a high-growth, high-conviction startup transforming a $20B+ industry. - 🌱 Shape not just a sales process, but a company — from how we talk to customers to how we scale. - 🧠 Learn directly from founders and get exposure to all sides of the business. - 💻 Fully remote, flexible work environment with strong async culture. - 💰 Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and benefits. Compensation & Benefits - OTE: $120,000–$150,000 (50/50 split), uncapped commission - Equity: Significant early-stage equity - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Unlimited PTO and flexible hours
