SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Policy Onboarding and Home Services team. As a vital member of this team, you will own and evolve the backend services that power the post-bind policyholder journey - from account onboarding to inspection orchestration, hazard remediation, underwriting review, and proactive home-service offers. Your work directly impacts how policyholders experience SageSure after they purchase a policy, ensuring a seamless, reliable, and modern experience. You'll contribute to architectural decisions, bringing product requirements and business context into the conversation. We operate a microservices-based SaaS platform on AWS and conduct a significant share of our business through APIs. What you’d be doing: - Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to craft innovative capabilities in our API products, enabling the building blocks of new customer experiences. - Design and implement modern Java services that connect our platform to integration partners, powering dynamic and user-friendly experiences. - Make high-level technical and architectural decisions to ensure our solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable as we grow. - Own features end-to-end from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production monitoring. - Make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your domain, authoring technical design documents, API documentation, and architectural proposals. - Develop testing suites and validation strategies including integration tests, to deliver complex outcomes while maintaining high software quality. - Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration. - Expand and evolve our integration strategy, connecting third-party contractor networks, service providers, and our internal underwriting systems. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. - 5+ years of experience building and deploying software applications. - Strong experience with Java and modern Java tooling for backend development. - A proven track record of designing scalable, secure APIs and integration solutions. - Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. - A proactive, curious mindset with a passion for building technology that makes a tangible difference. Requirements - Highly preferred candidates also have experience working in Insurtech or Fintech environments. - Experience with Temporal workflow orchestration. Role Description The Peraton Health, State and Local Sector is seeking a Software Development, Lead Associate to join us in supporting and maintaining the Medicare Fee For Service claims processing system. In this role, you will be a senior technical contributor on an Agile team providing maintenance and operations support for the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) contract. As a Software Development, Lead Associate, you will work within a highly structured and rigorous development environment that follows the SAFe Agile/Scrum framework. This role focuses on handling project coordination and technical design to hands-on coding, unit testing, and defect resolution across functional areas of the mainframe legacy DME system. Quality is vital to this mission; the role will build and execute unit test plans, test cases, and test data including COBOL and Assembler components. Role Description This role really focuses on software engineering as the discipline of learning by building, with real customers, with real data, without forcing premature abstractions back into the core platform. Informed K12 builds operational software for U.S. school districts. You will be a part of a small group that builds new product hypotheses alongside our most adventurous customers, validates them with real data, and decides what graduates into the broader platform. You will be a senior IC at the heart of that team.
