Solutions Engineer

Redpanda Data

• Work alongside the sales team to introduce Redpanda to our potential customers • Lead product and solution briefings, build proof-of-concepts (POC), run live product demos, and prototype Redpanda integrations • Partner with Redpanda product management, engineering and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience • Identify and address customers' key technical objections and develop the strategies to address those blockers to adoption

Job Requirements

  • 3-8+ years of prior experience leading presentations, collecting requirements, developing solution architectures, and teaching prospective users or project teams how to use software similar to Redpanda
  • Comfortable developing/prototyping solutions in many different languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, and Javascript)
  • Passion for working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern infrastructure and streaming technologies (Kafka ecosystem preferred)
  • Strong ability to build relationships with our partners, customers, and open-source users
  • Experience demonstrating technical concepts, including presenting and whiteboarding
  • Collaborative spirit and enjoy making sure each team gets customer feedback to provide great customer experience
  • Flexibility to travel to meet customers, attend events or conferences or wherever the work takes you
  • Comfortable with Linux and Kubernetes
  • Proficient with one or more of the following cloud providers: AWS, GCP and Azure

Benefits

  • U.S. base salary range for this role is $168,500 - $198,000, not including bonus and/or commission. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. As a remote-first company, we strive to consider each candidate's job-related skills, location, experience, relevant education or training to determine individual base salary.
