Senior Forensic Engineer – Mechanical
YA Group
• Lead projects and serve as the primary point of contact • Coordinate site visits, resources, and timelines to keep projects on track • Conduct site visits and testing to gather data across property types • Perform site visits and lab examinations to collect data on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. • Produce reports that combine inspection, testing, and analysis data to identify root cause and make recommendations on repair or replacement. • Support regional growth through recruiting and business development • Build and maintain strong client relationships while generating new work • Partner with business development on conferences and client outreach • Review and interpret relevant building codes as necessary for issues about the scope of work. • Oversee the development of repair or replacement design scope, as needed. • Make independent decisions for projects including selection of analysis and testing methods and allocating resources relevant to the project. • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Active PE license
- 10+ years of forensic mechanical engineering experience or relevant design experience
- Proven ability to write comprehensive technical reports on inspection results
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
