• Prototype and implement novel user experiences at the intersection of AI video, world models, and emerging generative media • Design and build agentic tools and interfaces that allow researchers and creatives to interact with and direct AI systems in real time • Explore new application areas for AI video and general world models — from simulation and interactive media to research tooling • Stretch the limits of front-end engineering to broaden what’s possible in research and experimentation contexts • Create internal tools and frameworks used across design and engineering teams at Runway Labs • Work alongside researchers, engineers, and product designers to shape how we think about the future of AI-driven creativity

• Your role sits at the intersection of design and engineering. • You'll build websites as systems of reusable blocks, assemble templates and pages from them, and prepare the CMS that powers them. • You’ll create the interactions, micro-interactions, and animations that make our work feel alive. • You'll work closely with designers to bring interactions and animations to life. • You'll be hands-on with code while keeping an eye on the bigger picture, understanding how your technical decisions impact the end product and the user experience.

• Applies basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices to design in the area of specialty • Work closely with the design team and other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects • Familiar with Mesa Policies and Business Unit procedures, complies with procedural requirements for document/deliverable generation • Performs technical and coordination checking/review of deliverables and other project documents • Ensures deliverables comply with Business Unit procedures and meet applicable design requirements • Capable of preparing calculations using engineering formulas and skills, or application specific software • Manages personal task assignments and adheres to project scope, schedule, and budget on all assigned tasks • Assists in resolving construction issues, supporting design staff to resolve problems and concerns

• Lead the design of linear pipeline systems, including alignment development, profile design, material selection, and coordination with multidisciplinary project teams. • Mentor and guide junior engineers. • Review and approve designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. • Interface directly with clients. • Support project proposals and contribute to project planning and execution strategies.
