Solution Development Engineer, HVAC Controls
Johnson Controls
• Provide pre-sales Building Automation System and project development engineering services for large complex building projects • Collaborate with sales partners and customers to drive value for Performance Infrastructure (PI) and Public Private Partnership (P3) projects • Assist with pre and post sales activities on building systems and equipment project opportunities • Conduct jobsite inspections to determine existing conditions and evaluate equipment operability • Develop and provide detailed engineering information and submittals to communicate design, configuration, operating and installation requirements to customers, consultants and necessary subcontractors
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology
- Computer skills experience to include: Microsoft Office suite, (with emphasis on Word, Excel and Visio) Adobe Writer or Bluebeam, and basic Windows operating system environment
- AutoCAD experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
- 5-7 years of related work experience, or minimum of 10 years related work experience in HVAC equipment, building automation controls or similar field
- Design, configure or modify existing or new Building Automation Systems by one or more of the following manufacturers such as Johnson Controls, Siemens, Automated Logic, Honeywell Tridium, Schneider Electric, Distech, etc.
