In this role, you will help shape the everyday conversations we have with clients across our digital platforms. You will approach content with a strategic mindset, taking ownership of what we communicate, how we frame it, and where each message fits within the overall user journey. Working closely with 3 product owners and 5 designers, you will help define the core value of our digital products and ensure every touchpoint—from high-converting promotional messaging to complex, transactional workflows—feels seamless, purposeful, accessible, and aligned with what matters most to our clients. What You’ll Do: Content Strategy: - Champion a content-first approach, establishing messaging hierarchy and user flows before visual design begins. - Develop actionable, data-informed messaging strategies that guide clients clearly through complex digital experiences and cross-channel journeys. - Lead collaborative design thinking workshops, mapping sessions, and ideation exercises alongside product owners and designers. - Clearly articulate the rationale behind content decisions, presenting strategy decks and copy proposals to partners with clarity and conviction. - Help maintain, evolve, and elevate content design systems, communications standards, terminology bases, and governance workflows across the organization. - Serve as an unyielding advocate for the end user, ensuring client needs, plain-language principles, and clarity remain front and center in product roadmaps. Content Creation: - Write clean, crisp, and concise product copy; we value brevity and directness, with no room for verbose or wordy writing. - Draft intuitive, contextual product copy, including UI microcopy, error states, onboarding flows, interface labels, transactional emails, and system messages, with a strong emphasis on mobile-first experiences. - Partner with the 5 team designers to shape non-textual assets, including iconography, data visualizations, empty states, and illustrations. - Embed inclusive design practices and web content accessibility guidelines across all content touchpoints, ensuring full compatibility with assistive technology. - Partner with legal, risk, compliance, and regulatory teams to navigate complex financial requirements while translating dense legalese into clear, human copy. - Document, audit, and organize content assets throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure consistency across web, iOS, and Android platforms. Research and Testing: - Partner with design researchers to frame research hypotheses, construct test scripts, and define key qualitative and quantitative questions. - Plan and run usability tests, A/B copy tests, and comprehension studies to measure message clarity and task completion rates. - Perform continuous competitive analysis, message testing, and content audits to benchmark experiences against industry leaders and identify user friction points. - Synthesize analytics data, customer feedback, and testing results to iteratively refine content strategies and measure ROI. What We Offer - Join an inclusive, highly collaborative design organization where your voice is valued, your ideas are championed, and your professional growth is actively supported. - Work in a focused squad supporting 3 product owners and 5 designers on high-impact digital experiences used daily by millions of customers. - Help advance the Content Design discipline across the enterprise by establishing new frameworks, mentoring peers, and contributing to industry-best design culture. - Access continuous learning opportunities, competitive total rewards, wellness programs, and a flexible work environment built around trust and flexibility. What You’ll Bring: Required: - A post-secondary degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, English, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, or equivalent practical experience. - Four or more years of dedicated experience writing, editing, or designing content within a digital product team, agency, or enterprise software environment. - Exceptional ability to write in a clean, concise, and direct manner without fluff or verbosity. - Proven track record of collaborating effectively in multi-disciplinary squads alongside product owners and visual/UX designers. - Strong critical thinking, information architecture, and systems-thinking skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex systems into clear user journeys. - A portfolio that clearly demonstrates your end-to-end design process, showing initial experimentation, rationale, challenges faced, how you arrived at final copy, and examples of mobile content and content-first thinking. Nice to Have: - Professional working proficiency or fluency in French. - Hands-on knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and techniques for writing accessible alt-text, screen reader copy, and localized content. - Familiarity with modern product design and prototyping tools (such as Figma or Miro) and agile software development workflows (such as Jira or Confluence).
