Role Description The Data Architect defines and governs the enterprise data architecture for a modern Azure-based platform integrating Avatar NX, Salesforce, and financial systems. This role establishes a scalable, consistent, and governed data ecosystem aligned with business and regulatory requirements. A critical responsibility is reverse engineering the Avatar NX EHR data model, due to limited vendor documentation, to enable accurate integration, reporting, and long-term data governance. Schedule: 8am-5pm CST Salary Range: $109,300- $141,900 commensurate with experience Location: Remote - Must be US based, and able to work with no restrictions in the US in a remote home office. How Data Architects Empower Recovery - Enterprise Data Architecture - Design end-to-end Azure data architecture (ingestion, staging, curated, reporting layers) - Define enterprise data domains (Clinical, RCM, CRM, Finance) - Establish canonical data models (e.g., Patient, Encounter, Claim, Revenue) - Reverse engineer and document the Avatar NX data model, including: - Table structures, relationships, and data flows - Enterprise ERDs and logical models - Mapping vendor-specific schemas to normalized structures - Interpreting and modeling data from a non-traditional database architecture (InterSystems Caché/IRIS) - Integration Strategy - Define integration patterns across: - Avatar NX (EHR and billing logic) - Salesforce (CRM and engagement) - Financial systems (GL and revenue recognition) - Standardize data contracts and exchange patterns (batch, API, event-driven) - Data Governance & Standards - Establish standards for naming, definitions, and data quality - Implement governance for billing rules and derived logic - Lead development of a data catalog, business glossary, and lineage framework - Ensure reverse-engineered models are documented and version-controlled - Ensure data models, pipelines, and architectural artifacts are managed using enterprise source control practices (e.g., Git) - Rule & Revenue Transparency - Define architecture for rule outcome (inferred) tracking within Azure - Enable reconciliation between NX and downstream financial systems - Ensure billing logic is auditable, traceable, and explainable - Collaboration - Partner with Finance, RCM, Operations, IT, and Analytics leadership - Provide architectural guidance to Data Modelers, Developers, and DBAs Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field Requirements - 7+ years in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data engineering - Hands-on experience designing data platforms in Azure (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL) - Demonstrated experience integrating EHR, CRM, and financial systems - Proven experience working with EHR vendor databases (e.g., Netsmart Avatar NX, Epic, Cerner, or similar) - Hands-on experience reverse engineering undocumented or poorly documented schemas, including: - Identifying table relationships and key linkages - Reconstructing data models from source systems - Building ERDs from live databases rather than vendor documentation - Experience translating complex clinical and billing data structures into usable enterprise models - Ability to work with stakeholders to validate inferred logic (e.g., encounter flows, billing rules, documentation timing) - Strong expertise in relational and dimensional data modeling - Experience establishing canonical data models across domains (clinical, financial, operational) - Experience implementing data governance frameworks, lineage, and data quality controls - Advanced SQL Server expertise (querying, schema analysis, performance tuning) - Experience with large, complex, highly normalized transactional systems - Proficiency with source control and version management tools (e.g., Git) Preferred Experience - Experience in the Healthcare industry, data domains (clinical workflows, RCM, compliance) - Experience supporting finance and revenue cycle reporting (AR, billing, reconciliation) - Familiarity with Power BI, SSRS, or other reporting platforms - Experience working in environments with limited vendor transparency or documentation Workplace Environment - Requires long periods of sitting (95% sitting, 5% standing) - Extensive computer use Competencies - Technical Architecture - Data Governance & Quality - Business & Strategy Alignment - Leadership & Influence Accanto’s Commitment to Equal Opportunity Accanto is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Role Description Data Entry Support role involves various responsibilities related to system configuration, support, user management, training, medication configuration, implementation, and maintenance. - System Configuration: - Follow-up Worklist – Per organization for worklist setup (e.g., reasons for follow-up, group creation, adding users, adding status outlines, adding follow-up letters). - Order Building – Per organization for non-medication ordering (e.g., building/creating orders, adding to applicable organizations, creating order sets/groups). - Lab Orders (In-House and Outside) – For any additional lab needed, build order for each organization. - Flowsheets – For any additional flowsheet modifications, update permissions and groupings. - Template Permissions – As requested, add permissions to templates. - Template Updates – Perform manual review of environments to note differences between the configured templates. Provide findings to the EHR Team. As requested, make updates to the template configuration. - ProDash Configuration – Per organization for ProDash setup (e.g., provider access). Development underway, more information pending. - Billing Template – Using provided outline, create billing template on each existing template and validate conditional logic. - System Support: - Post system updates, perform system validation testing using provided script. Share findings with EHR Team. - Monitor end user support channels. Provide end user support based on provided script and common issue resolutions. Notify EHR Team of inaccuracies. - Medication Configuration: - Drug Item Master – Select each location for each drug item. - Medical Formulary – Select each location and apply the individual drug items to the formulary. - Order Checks – Per provided instructions, create order checks for each location. - Order Management (Orderable Item, Order Group, Order Set) – Per provided instructions, complete medication building of the orderable item per location. For specific orderable items, add respective medical director per location. Repeat process for order group and order set builds. - Implementation: - Transfer applicable lots from regional/central pharmacy to each location ahead of their go-live. - Set initial inventory by lot at each location prior to the location go-live. - As requested, manually adjust inventory amounts from final current system count to future system. - Maintenance: - As requested, complete new drug building at all applicable locations per each environment. - As requested, complete updates to drug items at all applicable locations per environment.
