Field Technician

• Lead telecom equipment installations and commissioning activities in Central Office and Service Provider environments • Coordinate field crews and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures • Execute circuit modifications, software upgrades, power transitions, and live network activities with precision • Perform quality assurance inspections, technical verifications, and final project walkthroughs • Interpret and resolve issues within job specifications, wiring schematics, equipment layouts, and MOPs • Maintain accurate installation records, as-built documentation, audits, and project reporting • Build strong customer relationships through professional on-site communication and technical leadership

Job Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 3+ years of telecom installation experience within Central Office or Service Provider environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in fiber, copper, coax, DC power systems, BDFB installations, and equipment testing
  • Strong ability to read and interpret MOPs, technical drawings, wiring schematics, and equipment layouts
  • Proven leadership experience directing installation teams, mentoring technicians, and conducting QA inspections
  • Working knowledge of Telcordia GR-1275, AT&T TP-76300, and telecom safety standards
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
