Job Overview As a Project Engineer at Coretelligent, you will play a key role in delivering complex IT initiatives across our client environments. This role is responsible for executing project-based work from design through deployment, ensuring solutions are implemented efficiently, securely, and in alignment with client expectations. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support a wide range of infrastructure and cloud initiatives, while also serving as a technical resource for clients throughout the project lifecycle. This includes building and deploying solutions, documenting configurations, supporting end users, and ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing support. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys project-based work, takes ownership of outcomes, and thrives in dynamic MSP environments where no two projects are the same. Key Responsibilities: - Execute complex technical projects across infrastructure, cloud, and end-user environments, including design, configuration, deployment, and post-implementation support. - Partner closely with Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations. - Lead and execute a variety of client-facing initiatives, including: - Email migrations (Exchange to Exchange, Exchange to cloud-based platforms) - Office network deployments (firewalls, switching, wireless infrastructure, UPS devices) - File sharing migrations (Windows-based servers to cloud platforms such as Egnyte, Box, OneDrive) - Security implementations, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using platforms such as Okta or similar providers - Server upgrades and migrations (Windows Server environments) - Office relocations in coordination with Project Managers and vendors - Deployment of audio/video and phone systems in partnership with third-party vendors - Provide end-user training and support to ensure successful adoption of new systems and technologies. - Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks, network diagrams, IP schemas, configuration guides, and build documentation. - Develop user-facing documentation aligned with Coretelligent standards to support long-term usability and supportability. - Track and support project-related budgets, timelines, and reporting in partnership with Project Managers. - Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, from initial implementation through project closeout. - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff from project delivery to ongoing support. Required Skills and Qualifications: - At least five years of industry experience with hands-on IT systems architecture, deployment, support, and best practices - Advanced Technical Certifications (VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) - Ability to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot key technologies, including: - VMware vSphere - Microsoft Windows Server (2019 / 2016 / 2012 R2) - Microsoft Active Directory (Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, NPS, etc.) - Exchange Server (2019, 2016, 2013, 2010) - VPN Clients (Cisco, Fortinet) - Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco) - Wireless Technology (Aerohive, Meraki, Ubiquiti) - Remote Desktop (MS RDS, Citrix) - Cloud Services (O365, Egnyte, Centrify/iDaptive, Box/DropBox, etc.) - Storage (HPE Nimble, DellEMC, Synology, etc.) - Backup Solutions (Veeam, Zerto, etc.) - Ability to travel for project work at least once a month. - Able to regularly work nights and weekends to perform off-hours upgrades and migrations Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience): $100,000 - $130,000 This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations (with the exception of MA, NY, and CA). Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training.
