• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in **AWS** • Manage, secure, and improve **Kubernetes**-based environments, including production workloads • Build and maintain infrastructure as code using **Terraform** • Harden production systems across cloud, compute, container, identity, and network layers • Develop and maintain secure baseline configurations for infrastructure and platform services • Support vulnerability management, patching, remediation, and configuration compliance efforts across environments • Configure, administer, and patch both **Linux and Windows VMs** • Support identity and access management practices, including least privilege, role design, and privileged access controls • Contribute to administration and integration of **Active Directory domains** where needed • Partner with engineering teams to improve security within CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and operational processes • Support **compliance initiatives, audits, evidence collection, and technical control validation** • Develop and maintain documentation, operational runbooks, technical standards, and playbooks • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and security issues with clear and timely communication • Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis when infrastructure or platform issues arise • Stay current on cloud, infrastructure, and security best practices that can improve platform resilience and delivery

• Interfaces & Integrations: As part of our Integration team, you are responsible not only for developing and optimizing our interface architecture but also for finding creative solutions for data exchange • You build it, you ship it: From clean backend code to a deployment-ready service, you take full ownership of your features • Infrastructure & Cloud: You are comfortable with the Linux console and actively support building, maintaining and automating our CI/CD pipelines as well as our cloud environment (GCP) • Quality & Code Reviews: Writing clean, well-testable code (Clean Code) is second nature to you. By regularly participating in code reviews, you help drive our shared quality standards • Bug Analysis & Performance: You are solution-oriented and independently resolve bottlenecks and issues across the entire stack, from the API to server infrastructure

Role Description The Engineering Operations team builds and operates the infrastructure, observability, and automation systems that power our engineering environment. This role focuses on owning and improving AWS infrastructure, with an emphasis on infrastructure as code, operational reliability, and scalable platform practices across distributed systems. StackAdapt is a remote-first company and this role is open to candidates located within Canada. What You'll Be Doing: - Build, maintain, and improve shared infrastructure and platform services. - Own and optimize AWS services used across engineering. - Develop and manage infrastructure as code workflows, primarily with Terraform and Terrateam. - Support reliable, secure deployments across cloud and Kubernetes environments. - Improve observability through metrics, logs, and tracing. - Troubleshoot infrastructure and service issues in distributed systems. - Establish infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational practices. - Partner with engineering teams on resilient, scalable system design. Qualifications - 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. - Strong experience operating AWS infrastructure in production. - Hands-on experience with Terraform and IaC workflows at scale. - Experience with Kubernetes or other containerized environments. - Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. - Experience supporting reliability, incident response, and production operations. - Demonstrated ability to safely leverage AI to increase development efficiency. Requirements - Experience with Terraform, Terrateam, Ansible, Vault, Consul, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Prometheus/Grafana, Packer, Redis, and GitHub Actions. - Familiarity with AWS networking concepts such as VPCs, routing, load balancers, and security groups. - Experience with large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure automation.
