SRE/DevOps Specialist

• Design and implement complex cloud architectures, ensuring security, compliance, and cost optimization. • Implement and evolve observability and monitoring solutions, promoting custom instrumentation in applications and infrastructure. • Automate infrastructure processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, creating standards and training the team. • Serve as a technical reference, mentoring colleagues and promoting cloud and DevOps best practices. • Collaborate with development and operations teams to promote resilience, high availability, and continuous innovation. • Apply Artificial Intelligence techniques in projects to improve automation, monitoring, and data analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Advanced familiarity with AWS, including Lambda and multi-account strategies.
  • Ability to design resilient, highly available cloud solutions, including disaster recovery.
  • Automation of processes using GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or FluxCD.
  • Knowledge of FinOps strategies for cost control and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or SageMaker for cloud applications.

Role Description The Engineering Operations team builds and operates the infrastructure, observability, and automation systems that power our engineering environment. This role focuses on owning and improving AWS infrastructure, with an emphasis on infrastructure as code, operational reliability, and scalable platform practices across distributed systems. StackAdapt is a remote-first company and this role is open to candidates located within Canada. What You'll Be Doing: - Build, maintain, and improve shared infrastructure and platform services. - Own and optimize AWS services used across engineering. - Develop and manage infrastructure as code workflows, primarily with Terraform and Terrateam. - Support reliable, secure deployments across cloud and Kubernetes environments. - Improve observability through metrics, logs, and tracing. - Troubleshoot infrastructure and service issues in distributed systems. - Establish infrastructure standards, documentation, and operational practices. - Partner with engineering teams on resilient, scalable system design.
