Job Description

Clinical Systems Analyst

• Work collaboratively with clients to plan, install, implement, and maintain hardware and software solutions • Design, manage, and oversee projects and tasks for our clients • Configure, build, document, test, modify, and maintain software applications • Proactively problem solve and determine the best course of action to meet the needs of our clients and their customers • Work closely with end users to troubleshoot, diagnose and correct problems related to applications by identifying malfunctions in hardware and software • Collaborate loosely with client’s technical team to maintain continuity of process • Conduct system enhancements/new features, build, upgrades/quarterly updates and optimisations • Analyse business requirements and translate into system requirements making necessary revisions to system logic • Perform system customisations including the development of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation, automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to workflows • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with UK GDPR, NHS Information Governance standards, and applicable data protection legislation, and comply with HIPAA and Canadian privacy and security requirements for all activities and information accessed • Participate in the development of tools and training for end users’ competencies • Ensure clinical upgrades, patches and enhancements are comprehensively planned and tested before applying in the production environment • Establish concise ad-hoc reports • Determine project priorities based on the needs of our clients. Ensure completion of projects in a timely manner to comply with established deadlines. • Actively work with Chief Services Officer and clients to determine and or adjust project priorities • Perform and/or oversee ongoing maintenance of the Information Systems and their interfaces, as well as support activities of our clients • Provide technical support to our clients • Provide information and training related to Information Systems to our clients • Problem solves for clients • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and clients’ staff • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the CEO, or the Chief Services Officer

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), including WinPath, Cirdan, Magentus, InterSystems TrakCare Lab Enterprise, Epic Beaker, or similar platforms
  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Order Communications systems, including ICE, Labgnostics (formerly nPEx), or other healthcare order comms solutions
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Clinical Processes
  • Minimum 2 years of EPR experience to include build, implement, support and hands on end-user experience
  • Knowledge of clinical standards, documentation methods, and existing practices
  • Demonstrated technical skills and aptitudes related to all computer related activities
  • Demonstrated ability to understand all laboratory related computer applications, and the ability to learn and apply new applications and programs

Role Overview Position: Senior Business Systems Engineer (Salesforce & Billing Platform) Role Purpose The Senior Business Systems Engineer is a member of the Build team and plays an important role in advancing AI adoption within Business Systems. This role will help pilot agentic and LLM-assisted workflows, modernize development and deployment processes, and use automation to solve real engineering challenges. While Salesforce and the billing platform are part of the systems this role will support, the main focus is on bringing AI-driven capabilities into the design, development, and operation of our systems. Key initiatives include internal platform migration, AI agent adoption, and CI/CD modernization. This is a hands-on engineering role that requires close collaboration with product, business, and architecture teams. Responsibilities - Promote AI-driven automation across the platform by actively exploring, piloting, and implementing solutions such as Einstein, Agentforce, and LLM-assisted development workflows. - Design, build, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools while following development standards. - Contribute to CI/CD modernization efforts, including AI-assisted code reviews and test automation. - Support and improve billing and Quote-to-Cash workflows as part of the broader platform, working closely with product and finance teams as needed. - Work closely with product managers, architects, QA, and other Business Systems Engineers during sprint execution, technical design, and code reviews. - Ensure solution quality through unit testing and automated test coverage. Partner with Production Support on root cause analysis when issues arise. - Identify technical debt and performance issues, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on automation and AI. - Share knowledge through documentation and peer collaboration, while providing informal guidance to junior Business Systems Engineers. - Support a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience. - Strong proficiency with Apex, Flow, LWC, and Salesforce declarative automation. - Authentic enthusiasm for AI-driven development, including hands-on experimentation with tools such as Copilot, Agentforce, Einstein, or LLM-assisted coding workflows, and a proven track record of using these tools. - Working familiarity with Quote-to-Cash processes and subscription-based revenue models (Billing experience preferred but not required). - Experience with modern billing or monetization platforms is a plus—such as Orb, Metronome, Chargebee, or similar usage-based billing systems. - 1+ year of Python experience is a plus. - Salesforce certifications are preferred (Platform Developer I & II). - Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Compensation: Base Salary – $145,000 - 165,000 The base salary range reflects the full range for this position at Wasabi Technologies.
