Construction Superintendent
Ameresco
• Provide onsite leadership for direct subcontractor workforce, control and direction of all field and construction management activities • Support the Project Manager with planning and organizing project work, including management of the critical path and all critical path activities, to ensure all work is executed in accordance with the contract documents • Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work • Develop a plan for sequence of work and project schedule with the Project Manager and scheduling team • Support the Project Manager in the development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities • Provide ongoing project status updates with all parties throughout design and construction • Provide project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration • Develop comprehensive understanding of owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders • Ensure compliance with company safety, industry, trade, and federal/local jurisdictional standards, practices, codes
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or an equivalent
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in construction with at least five (5) years of experience in commercial or government construction industry as a site superintendent or a similar role
- Ability to review confidential US Security information
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical construction is preferred
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations
- Knowledge and experience with performing Quality Control management
- Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills
- Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, building systems, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships
- OSHA 30-hour Certification is required
- EM-385-1 Certification is preferred
- Primavera P6 Experience is a bonus

• The Project Management Office (PMO) Portfolio Lead ensures execution quality and acts as the ultimate owner of delivery assurance for our projects. • Serving as the first point of escalation, you will focus deeply on project health, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and on budget with a strict “no surprises” philosophy. • You will work closely with Project Managers on the ground while feeding critical project intelligence up to Delivery Managers and the Account team. • Ensure delivery readiness of new projects (sales handoff, talent fulfillment and onboarding, setup baseline governance). • Act as the primary owner for identifying, assessing, and managing project-level risks across your assigned portfolio. • Evaluate delivery health weekly and ensure consistent reporting cadence (client-facing and internal). • Identify cost, schedule, and value realization risks, support mitigation planning, and rigorously track and update Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) logs. • Own project financials including revenue, margin, and forecasting. • Serve as the immediate escalation point for complex project roadblocks, intervening before they impact the broader client relationship, while exercising discretion and independent judgment. • Design and implement early mitigation strategies for identified risk flags. • Provide clear, data-driven escalations and status updates to Delivery Managers and the Account team to ensure alignment on project realities.
