Role Description The MEP VDC Fabrication Database Coordinator is a client-facing technical specialist responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Autodesk Fabrication databases and content for MEP and specialty trade contractors. This role involves: - Working closely with client VDC teams, BIM managers, detailers, estimators, fabrication personnel, and project stakeholders. - Creating and managing ITM content. - Configuring and improving fabrication databases. - Troubleshooting technical issues. - Performing quality assurance testing. - Maintaining clear documentation. The ideal candidate combines hands-on Autodesk Fabrication expertise with strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to deliver reliable, standardized, and scalable database solutions that support client-approved fabrication workflows and business objectives. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience with Autodesk Fabrication content, databases, or MEP fabrication workflows. - Hands-on experience creating, modifying, testing, and supporting Autodesk Fabrication ITM parts. - Proficiency with one or more Autodesk Fabrication products, including CADmep, CAMduct, ESTmep, or Revit Fabrication Parts. - Working knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication databases, services, specifications, materials, connectors, and related content configurations. - Understanding of MEP systems and construction workflows, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, electrical, or specialty trades. - Experience interpreting manufacturer documentation, product specifications, fabrication standards, and technical drawings. - Strong troubleshooting, quality assurance, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and client-service skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, maintainable solutions. Requirements - 5+ years supporting MEP contractors, fabrication shops, detailing departments, or VDC teams. - Experience managing multiple Autodesk Fabrication databases across clients or business units. - Experience with both sheet metal and piping fabrication content. - Experience integrating Autodesk Fabrication databases with Revit fabrication workflows. - Familiarity with Design Line, spooling, estimating, CAM output, fabrication, and installation workflows. - Experience with database migrations, software upgrades, content standardization, and configuration deployment. - Knowledge of BIM coordination, database governance, version control, and quality management practices. - Experience providing client training, technical support, mentoring, or consulting services. - Autodesk certifications or related BIM, VDC, fabrication, or trade credentials.
