Administration Coordinator – Prior Authorizations
Humana
• contributes to administration of utilization management. • performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. • provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. • provides exceptional customer service to providers, including completing all necessary paperwork, documentation and forms; meet or exceed monthly individual and team goals. • acts in accordance with Humana's ethics and compliance policies and connects industry and regulatory changes to our strategy. • meets established expectations and takes responsibility for achieving results; encourages others to do the same. • employs focus, attention to detail, reliability, and appropriate prioritization to drive outcomes. • sees opportunities to contribute and takes the initiative to create solutions.
Job Requirements
- 1+ years of administrative or technical support experience with a health plan, healthcare organization, or provider.
- Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows based environment and an ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs
- Proficient and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
- Prior member service or customer service telephone experience desired
- Experience with Utilization Review and/or Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization
