Marketing Data Analyst Intern

Role Description This internship offers a flexible schedule to accommodate academic commitments, and the duration will be limited to a specific period to ensure valuable learning without displacement of paid roles. There is no expectation of compensation or a job offer after the internship. Instead, the focus is on providing the intern with practical, educational experience aligned with their academic studies. - 20 hrs/week - Unpaid, 6 month leadership program - Fully remote - Marketing team - OPT/CPT eligible - Able to commit to weekly 60-minute meetings (PST): - Monday & Friday @10am Company Program Meeting - Monday @9am Team Meeting - Tuesday @11am Analytics Sync - Thursday @10am Team Deepwork - Several 1:1 coachings Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related field (or currently pursuing). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Comfortable working with data sets, spreadsheets, and structured information. - Ability to communicate insights clearly through written reports and visual dashboards. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain data accuracy. - Coachable, adaptable, and comfortable working with feedback and iterative improvements. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Comfort working in a fast-paced, creative environment. Requirements - Familiarity with marketing analytics, campaign performance metrics, or digital reporting. - Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar marketing platforms. - Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Excel dashboards, Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). - Interest in marketing strategy, brand growth, and data-driven decision making. - Experience working with structured datasets, reports, or research projects. - Comfort collaborating across cross-functional teams in a remote environment. This role is primarily focused on creating and maintaining advanced interactive data visualizations (dashboards) using R-Shiny within a team development context and requires a candidate with demonstrative R skills. Experience with R-Shiny is preferred. In addition, candidates will utilize a range of technical skills including cleaning, manipulation and analysis of large data sets. Beyond developing R-Shiny applications, responsibilities for the successful applicant are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: assists with data analysis and measure construction using administrative data such as Medicaid claims or population health survey data; composes reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials; presents results to team members and other audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications; and designs data collection instruments including questionnaires and clinical data collection forms.
