Regional Sales Manager – Capital Equipment

• Generate capital equipment sales to prospective and existing food industry customers. • Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business. • Travel approximately 80%, remainder of time spent working remotely. • Identify potential sales opportunities with existing customers and new prospects by conducting customer site visits. • Achieve territory bookings and invoiced sales goals. • Create and manage an efficient travel schedule to maximize customer contacts per trip. • Provide necessary information and documentation for completion of sales proposals and orders. • Prepare detailed proposals/quotes according to customer requirements. • Manage customer expectations as they relate to the order process. • Leverage resources such as CRM, marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and support staff to further the sales process. • Participate in the development and execution of a business plan and budget for the territory.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Consultative capital equipment sales experience required.
- Engineering or technical experience is also a plus.
- At least five years’ experience selling large packaging or processing equipment to meat, produce, or other food related facilities.
- Candidates with experience selling large equipment into other manufacturing-oriented facilities will also be considered.
