Role Description The Senior MDM Analyst is responsible for proactive identification, analysis, and support of complex Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our master data. This role will involve working closely with various stakeholders and teams to develop, implement, and maintain effective MDM solutions including supplier, customer, material, and other domains as needed. The Senior MDM Analyst will need to foster relationships throughout the organization to gather data and an understanding of what the data means to the business. This role will be a key participant in transformation initiatives related to MDM and Data Governance at Builders FirstSource. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Collaborate with team members to ensure understanding of the functional MDM requirements and future strategic direction of the business. - Provide functional guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders regarding MDM best practices. - Translate MDM functional requirements into technical requirements and design. - Participate in solution design and support robust and complex initiatives. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to build master data workflow frameworks and governance rules that enable robust, scalable data quality processes. - Develop and execute complex testing scenarios across system, integration, and user acceptance phases, and support release management activities following required approvals. - Participate in standard data modeling, translate data requirements into effective use diagrams, and analyze existing databases through reverse engineering. - Develop and maintain documentation related to MDM processes and data mappings. - Act as a liaison to domain data owners to establish necessary data stewardship responsibilities and procedures. - Build and maintain existing enterprise data governance policies and procedures in collaboration with domain owners. - Develop tools and processes to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the organization. - Track and report adherence to key MDM and data governance metrics/SLAs. - Perform data integrity gap analysis, identifying areas where application controls are insufficient. - Assist with the maintenance of complex golden records across domains. - Learn business processes and partner with business process owners/SMEs, IT, and data stewardship teams. - Communicate analytical findings through reports, briefings, and presentations. - Apply knowledge of data governance, workflows, and procedures in determining the most effective and actionable data analysis within the project planning frameworks. - Facilitate discussions with business users to understand and translate complex business requirements into master data management solutions aligned to business goals that deliver measurable value to the organization. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. - 4+ years relevant work experience. - MDM Methodologies and Tooling (SAP MDG). - Data Governance and Data Quality experience. - SQL skills. - Experience with Informatica MDM and/or Enterworks is a nice to have.
