Client Relationship Manager, Client Services – Retirement
Ascensus
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients • Responsible for relationship management for plan accounts and financial advisors ensuring a successful service experience • Promote plan retention via ownership, troubleshooting and problem resolution resulting in the prevention of escalated service issues associated with assigned accounts • Leverage industry knowledge to promote client satisfaction, leading to retention and organic growth • Develop strong working relationships with daily client contacts • Provide ownership for the resolution of issues escalated by clients and financial professionals • Act as an internal advocate for clients and financial professionals by coordinating with internal Ascensus departments • Review existing book of business to identify plan retention • Develop relationships with C-level decision makers for assigned accounts to develop education and communication strategies • Cross-sell revenue opportunities, educate financial professionals/plan sponsors regarding, products, processes and services • Compile data, track communications, escalations and offer solutions to enhance the Ascensus experience by optimizing plan design and promoting product features and services • Lead and/or participate in projects that create additional value for existing relationships
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in retirement services industry or related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience with direct client/client equivalent relationships within a financial services administrative environment
- Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in industry-related studies program preferred
- Ability to work independently as required, but also work within and contribute to maintaining a highly-cohesive team environment
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with a high level of independence
- Must be detail oriented and be able to produce high quality work within tight time constraints
- Ability to make sound business judgments while effectively balancing client needs and organizational considerations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including group presentation experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to coordinate and run meetings attended by senior-level personnel in both internal and external environments
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Ability to travel as required

Role Description The primary responsibility of the CE (Continuing Education) Services Coordinator is to support WealthCounsel’s CE Accreditation Requirements while providing exceptional customer service to WealthCounsel members. This role includes collaborating with WealthCounsel Subject Matter Experts and the CE Team to provide CE support to members for upcoming courses. High-level written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are crucial to this role. - Manage the CE sections of our on-demand platform on our website (input, update, and track CE information, troubleshoot issues, suggest improvements, and perform other tasks as needed) - Work with Project Managers to control the CE information included or revised in our WealthCounsel store (on-demand courses for purchase) - Enter and update ongoing CE program-related data into the WealthCounsel website on-demand platform and WealthCounsel store in a timely manner - Manage auto-generated and manual certificates of completion as needed - Process Attendance and reporting for State Bars and CE Commissions for select on-demand events - Maintain State Bar records and other CE data - Track on-demand viewing trends and other activities to make suggestions to faculty and other team members - Collaborate with the CE & Event Services Teams to improve WealthCounsel’s CE on-demand program and services - Cross-train and serve as backup to the CE Services Specialists for processing CE accreditation for Live Programming - Enter any CE-related data into WealthCounsel Member Platforms and Event Program databases (including Salesforce, Swoogo, Zoom, WealthCounsel website) - Maintain accurate Salesforce case records; respond to incoming CE email inquiries in a timely manner; ensure all member data, emails, and calls are accurately and clearly logged; and keep the case queue up to date by closing cases once resolved. - Other responsibilities assigned as needed Qualifications - Associate's degree or equivalent experience - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Must be accurate, organized, and detail-oriented, yet flexible and willing to help where needed - Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred - Experience with Swoogo and/or other event management systems is a plus - Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe/PDF documents - Occasional travel may be required for company events and meetings Benefits - This is a virtual, full-time position.
