Expert Data Science Developer

Role Description As part of the Data Science Development team, you will contribute to the design and development of machine learning–powered solutions that bring added value and new capabilities to our suite of large-scale software products. - Analyzing new challenges and applying critical thinking to propose innovative software solutions. - Taking ownership of all stages of the design and development of applications that leverage statistical methods or machine learning, including: - Data manipulation and transformation; - Model selection, training, and validation; - Implementation and integration into our software product suite. - Documenting and testing developments. - Providing technical support to deployment, development, and project teams that use the features developed by your team. - Staying up to date with the latest advances in data science. Qualifications - You have completed a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. - You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in data science or a similar role. - You have strong knowledge of applying statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to solve real-world prediction and natural language processing challenges. - You have a solid understanding of MLOps practices. - You have experience integrating large language models (LLMs) and/or agentic AI into software solutions (prompting techniques, RAG, MCP). - You enjoy and are highly proficient in Python programming (knowledge of C++ is considered an asset). - You have excellent communication skills, particularly when it comes to explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - You enjoy working as part of a team and thrive in a collaborative environment. - You are fluent in French, both spoken and written. • Own the full data platform — the warehouse, streaming and batch ingestion, the semantic layer, and BI infrastructure. • Define and enforce data governance — access management, quality standards, and a well-modeled, trustworthy "gold" layer. • Make the warehouse the source of truth for operational, product, and financial analytics. • Build the models that power delivery intelligence — forecasting, prediction, optimization, matching/allocation, and reliability scoring that turn our data into better real-time decisions. • Stand up the ML systems that make this real and reliable: feature pipelines, training, serving, evaluation, and drift monitoring. • Design the learning loop — instrument decisions and outcomes so models continuously improve. • Drive the AI agent initiative to production, partnering with product and engineering on the surrounding workflows. • Manage and grow the data and ML team (starting from a small core) — hire data engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientists/ML engineers as the platform matures. • Establish a clear intake process for ad hoc data requests so the team works from a roadmap, not in reactive mode. • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance on data-driven analyses and decisions.
