• Own budgeting, forecasting, and a rolling financial model grounded in actual results • Deliver real-time visibility into burn, runway, and cash • Install capital-allocation discipline: clear ROI on every team, initiative, and investment • Produce board-grade financial reporting, analysis, and hygiene • Own and shape our revenue strategy end to end — pricing, packaging, and monetization • Build the upsell and expansion motion • Model the unit economics and metrics that define a marketplace — take rate, contribution margin per delivery, gross margin, CAC:LTV, net revenue retention, and burn multiple • Partner with Go-to-Market on deal-level pricing for complex enterprise opportunities, and stand up revenue forecasting and operating rigor • Scale our accounting operations — close, controls, and systems — into a reliable, in-house-caliber function • Establish financial controls, policies, and audit readiness • Lead financial preparation - model, data room, narrative, and diligence • Own investor and board relationships, reporting, and materials alongside the co-founders • Own the cap table, scenario and dilution modeling, and capital planning • Provide operational leadership across G&A — own or partner closely on People/HR and Legal as we scale • Build the systems, processes, and team that let the company grow efficiently • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the founders on company-wide operational decisions
• Own the full data platform — the warehouse, streaming and batch ingestion, the semantic layer, and BI infrastructure. • Define and enforce data governance — access management, quality standards, and a well-modeled, trustworthy "gold" layer. • Make the warehouse the source of truth for operational, product, and financial analytics. • Build the models that power delivery intelligence — forecasting, prediction, optimization, matching/allocation, and reliability scoring that turn our data into better real-time decisions. • Stand up the ML systems that make this real and reliable: feature pipelines, training, serving, evaluation, and drift monitoring. • Design the learning loop — instrument decisions and outcomes so models continuously improve. • Drive the AI agent initiative to production, partnering with product and engineering on the surrounding workflows. • Manage and grow the data and ML team (starting from a small core) — hire data engineers, analytics engineers, and data scientists/ML engineers as the platform matures. • Establish a clear intake process for ad hoc data requests so the team works from a roadmap, not in reactive mode. • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance on data-driven analyses and decisions.
• Design and build the platform that Burq scales on for the next several years • Own and execute the AWS account split — separating production, staging, and development into clean isolated environments • Lead the Aurora DB production migration with support from our infrastructure advisor • Manage and evolve our ECS Fargate services, RDS clusters, ElastiCache, SQS queues, and ALB configuration • Own Terraform — infrastructure as code, not click-ops • Harden IAM — developer permission sets, production access controls, least-privilege enforcement • Audit and lock down public S3 buckets • Enable AWS Config and Security Hub across all accounts • Own SOC 2 Type 2 readiness maintenance in partnership with Sprinto • Coordinate external penetration test cadence • Own and improve our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines — build times, test reliability, deployment velocity • Build out PR stack environments so product teams can test independently • Drive the local development stack initiative — Docker Compose-based environments that replace shared preprod • Integrate AI-assisted testing into the CI pipeline • Own CloudWatch dashboards spanning ALB, ECS, RDS, ElastiCache, SQS, and target group health • Lead post-incident reviews and ensure every incident produces a runbook entry • Partner with product teams to distribute platform work as a standing sprint allocation — not a separate queue
• Own a book of enterprise and strategic accounts — driving adoption, retention, and revenue expansion as their primary technical and commercial point of contact. • Debug customer issues independently — tracing API and webhook failures, reading logs, and resolving integration problems without escalating to engineering wherever possible. • Guide customers through API integrations and new feature rollouts, from initial setup through live order flow, partnering with their engineering teams hands-on. • Build and maintain your own dashboards and reports — writing SQL to monitor account health, surface usage trends, and quantify the value Burq delivers. • Lead quarterly business reviews and renewal conversations, translating platform performance and ROI into a clear case for retention and expansion. • Identify and drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities — new verticals, locations, carriers, and product capabilities — in partnership with Sales. • Introduce customers to new Burq features and capabilities, ensuring they adopt the parts of the platform that move their business. • Serve as the voice of the customer internally — surfacing recurring issues, feature gaps, and product feedback to Product and Engineering with the technical detail to make it actionable. • Reduce time-to-resolution and reliance on engineering by building runbooks, documentation, and reusable diagnostics for common customer issues.
• Design and ship production AI systems — multi-agent orchestration, routing, and specialized agents that take a request and carry it through to a reliable outcome. • Automate manual operational work across onboarding, support, exceptions, and document/data understanding — turning processes that take hours or days into seconds. • Build the models behind the decisions — forecasting, prediction, matching/allocation, optimization, and reliability scoring that ground the product in data instead of guesswork, exposed as services the agent layer can call. • Design the learning loop. Instrument decisions and their outcomes so models continuously improve, with the data and evaluation infrastructure to support it. • Own reliability and evaluation. Build the eval harnesses, tracing, observability, and guardrails for complex AI workflows where mistakes carry real operational and financial consequences — and prove a model or agent beats the status quo before it ships. • Make the build-vs-rules calls — know when a model genuinely wins, when an agent is the right tool, and when a simple rule is the smarter answer. • Raise the bar and help the team grow — push our prototyping-to-production pipeline forward and mentor engineers as the AI team scales.
• Lead technical discovery with prospects to understand their existing delivery stack, carrier relationships, OMS/WMS/TMS integrations, and operational pain points. • Build and deliver tailored demos of Pulse AI and the full API — adapted to each prospect’s vertical (restaurant, grocery, retail, pharmacy, parcel, and more). • Scope and run proof-of-concept integrations, guiding prospects’ engineering teams through Burq’s API from webhook setup through live order flow. • Stay hands-on through the initial implementation on key deals — driving the first production orders before a clean handoff to post-sales and the forward deployed team. • Architect end-to-end delivery solutions for multi-stakeholder enterprise deals, spanning a customer’s engineering, operations, and procurement teams. • Respond to RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical due-diligence requests with clarity and speed. • Produce clean, detailed integration specs and handoff documentation for post-sales and engineering. • Surface prospect feedback and recurring objections to product and engineering to shape the roadmap — you are a primary voice of the customer in the pre-sales motion.
• Own the next generation of AI products at Burq. • Build products grounded in real operational complexity. • Push the team’s AI product capabilities forward. • Lead and grow the product organization.
