As a Strategy Consulting Director you will: - Lead the full lifecycle of complex client engagements from ideation to project scope definition to project management, delivery and presentation to C-suite - Manage the overall client relationship building credibility and trust - Be responsible for project delivery and managing Associate, Senior Associate and Manager team members within the project team - Be responsible for structuring a client project/problem into phases and questions, hypothesis testing, story building and deliverable production - Lead problem solving sessions with internal/external clients to develop processes, methodologies, and transition strategies that will guide them to the objective future state - Developing storyboard, framework for analysis, and formulating overarching narrative - Lead the identification and communication of recommendations to clients - Oversee the implementation and execution of strategic recommendations - Developing and drafting client proposals, articulating STG's value proposition - Work towards selling client engagements through ongoing relationship, delivery of strategic initiatives and other business development activities - Work in a collaborative environment with clients and colleagues - Challenge the status quo and internal processes to identify opportunities to work more efficiently - Lead by strong example, mentor, coach, and potentially line manage Associates and Senior Associates - Support and lead additional function (talent, data, operations, etc) in support of STG's growth including data management, operations, compliance, etc. How this opportunity is different As a Strategy Consulting Director, you will be in a client-facing role working directly with Client Leaders and Aon Leadership to develop strategies and solutions to help our clients turn insights into practical actions, and into tangible returns. Your role will involve leading consulting teams to deliver business focused initiatives and strategic recommendations for our clients through understanding their objectives, addressing their challenges, developing an understanding of market conditions and issues, and defining strategies that drive growth opportunities and competitive market advantages. In addition to Client delivery, you will be responsible for managing Client relationships and Aon network relationships, coaching, mentoring, and developing the staff, contribute to expanding STG's market presence, and supporting the growth of our organization. Skills and experience that will lead to success - 10 years of work experience in corporate strategy or management consulting (prominent advisory firm experience is preferred) and experience in the P&C insurance industry - Experience leading projects and managing teams of professionals to deliver quality and insightful work to Executive stakeholders - Experienced in business storytelling and formulating strategic narratives - Ability to develop robust and impactful Client & Executive presentations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical abilities and a track record of business success - Strong attention to detail and a critical eye in overseeing work of more junior team members - Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple work streams, and with tight deadlines - Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint and Excel) - Willing to travel (typically less than 20%) Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent years of industry experience. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
