The Central Billing Office is seeking to fill the position of Medical Insurance Verification Specialist. This position will be working fully remote, only after completing 8 weeks of training in-office at the CBO in Mesquite, TX. Responsibilities and Duties - Verifies all insurance coverage for upcoming patient appointments - Determines patient's responsibility if applicable electronically and/or by phone - Enters all insurance information clearly and accurately into medical billing system - Obtains referral and or authorization prior to scheduled appointment - Advises patient of their responsibility prior to scheduled appointments Qualifications Qualifications and Skills - High School Diploma - Medical billing experience, preferably in insurance verification - Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written - Proficient mathematical skills - Must be able to multitask - Must be self-motivated - Must be organized and detail-oriented - Must be a team player with a positive attitude Job Type: Full-time

• Process incoming referrals from Fibro/eHealthy, LeadingReach, and Phreesia platforms. • Receive, review, accept, process, schedule, and close referrals accurately and efficiently. • Schedule patient appointments within the NextGen EMR system according to provider preferences and scheduling guidelines. • Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information in the NextGen EMR system. • Communicate internally by sending messages and tasks through the NextGen EMR system. • Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service when interacting with patients. • Follow established scheduling protocols to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately. • Assist with inbound phone calls during periods of high call volume.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Review fee tickets and enter charges, accept charges from holding tank if applicable Add appropriate modifiers Utilize AUA coding guidelines for bundling issues Review documentation for procedures to ensure billing supports documentation Communicate with administrators and physicians as needed regarding coding issues, missing documentations or changes Prepare and provide the administrators with their physicians missing surgery charge report each month Balance daily charges at end of each day to ensure all charges captured Scan batch into Search Express at end of each day Assist department with tasks in the event of absence or staff shortage Rotating Kitchen & Fax Duty Various tasks as assigned by lead or CBO Manager QualificationsEducation and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Urology and medical terminology General knowledge of CPT Codes and ICD 10 Codes
