Role Description The Biologics Prior Authorization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the initiation and continuation of biologic therapies. - Manage the workflow from the provider’s order through medication approval, delivery, and ongoing treatment support. - Prepare, submit, and track prior authorizations, appeals, and supporting insurance documentation. - Follow up with insurance companies and proactively resolve authorization delays or treatment barriers. - Coordinate prescriptions and medication delivery with specialty pharmacies. - Assist patients with enrollment in manufacturer assistance and medication access programs. - Educate patients about approval timelines, specialty pharmacy requirements, and next steps. - Maintain accurate patient records and authorization updates in the EMR. - Collaborate with providers, nurses, pharmacies, insurers, and other clinical staff to support continuity of care. - Prepare and maintain biologic medication records, status reports, and tracking systems. Qualifications - At least 1 year of previous experience handling medication prior authorizations is required. - Experience with biologic medications, specialty pharmacies, or infusion therapies is strongly preferred. - Previous experience working in a medical office or specialty practice. - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential (CMA/RMA) is preferred. - Proficiency with EMR systems and other healthcare-related software. - Strong understanding of insurance documentation and authorization processes. - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requirements - Must speak and write English clearly and professionally. - Must have relevant work experience. - Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory). - Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required. Role Description Advantmed is looking for a part-time Collaborative/Supervising Physician. Minimal time commitment is required and this role offers a flexible, remote work schedule. This is a great opportunity for additional income! This role ensures Nurse Practitioners (NP) have a collaborative physician (CP) with whom they can seek consultation and engage in a professional dialogue about patient care activities. Requirements for physician collaboration vary from state to state. - Serve as a Collaborative Physician in accordance with applicable law and terms and conditions of the NP Collaborative Practice Protocol Agreement. - Conduct quality reviews of the NP's patient charts on a periodic basis - varies by state. - Audits are established online at an established minimum chart review sample of 5%, which will be randomly selected, and an email notification will be sent to the CP. - CPs are available via phone or other electronic means of communication during our hours of operation (Monday through Friday) to consult with NPs on escalations with patient care activities. - The average time requirement is approximately 4 to 6 hours per month. Qualifications - Successful completion of the Advantmed Credentialing process. - Current board certification. - Valid state medical, federal DEA, and Controlled and Dangerous Substances (CDS) licenses without sanctions in the state of California. Requirements - Available for provider escalation Monday through Friday. - Comfortable with having our security app on your mobile device if you are utilizing any of our programs or using your phone/computer for work. This is a NON NEGOTIABLE. Benefits - $200 flat rate per pay period for review of 5% of up to 134 completed health assessments conducted by one or more NPs. - An additional $1.50 is paid for the review of 5% of the total volume of each completed health assessment in excess of 134 in any pay period. - Example: If the Collaborative Physician oversaw Nurse Practitioners who completed 1,000 health assessments, the Collaborative Physician would review 5% (50), while still being compensated $1.50 X (1,000-134), in addition to the $200.00 flat rate.
