Systems Engineer III – Project Engineer

Voyager Technologies

• Support the technical planning and execution of assigned defense and aerospace engineering projects • Assist in the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules as well as inchstone plans and work packages in coordination with program and engineering teams • Participate in and support cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) • Coordinate basic engineering inputs across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, systems, software) • Assist with identification and tracking of program risks and opportunities • Contribute to the development of engineering project plans and integration activities • Help develop and maintain statements of work (SOWs) and support subcontract management • Assist in trade studies, hardware procurement planning, and make/buy analyses • Support preparation for and participation in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and customer meetings • Draft and review engineering documentation including test plans, ECNs, and interface documentation • Ensure adherence to program deliverables, CDRLs, and contract requirements under guidance

Job Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Proven ability to support engineering projects through the full lifecycle—from requirements definition to verification and delivery
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
  • Solid technical foundation and demonstrated engineering judgment
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective in customer interaction, communication, and basic stakeholder coordination
  • 4-7 years of experience in project engineering, systems engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Background in aerospace or defense industry, preferably supporting DoD or MDA programs
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and basic project scheduling tools (IMP/IMS)
  • Exposure to Control Account Management or similar cost/schedule accountability roles
  • Proficient in applying systems engineering methodologies and processes within the DoD acquisition framework (e.g. DoD product development lifecycle, DoD 5000)
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and interacting with government or prime contractors is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related STEM field from an accredited college/university
  • Master's degree in systems engineering or a related discipline is desirable and may substitute for 1 year of experience from an accredited college/university

Role Description The Systems Support Analyst will be a very hands-on member of the Information Services department technical support team. The Systems Support Analyst assists end users with troubleshooting phone, email, and other related issues via ticket inquiries to resolve or escalate IT systems problems. They also provide end user training, problem management and communications for IT systems faults and service requests. The Systems Support Analyst supports the senior Information Systems Department staff members in the efficient allocation of computer hardware and software resources, maintains business applications, and ensures the reliability and sustainability of information and communication resources. - Provide first line support for technology issues and problems. - Provide assistance via phone, email, and/or using a ticket management system. - Manage critical incidents and track issues to resolution. - Update the internal knowledgebase with issue resolution details. - Perform account management functions in Active Directory, Microsoft Admin Center, Vonage, and Salesforce. - Maintain user accounts including rights, permissions, and systems groups. - Provide documentation, support computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, and applications. - Manage, monitor, and deploy patch updates. - Escalate alerts from anti-virus endpoint security system and review endpoint security anti-virus report daily. - Review WSUS server patch report daily. - Administer, monitor, and configure the internal MDM solution for company assets. - Monitor backup system alerts and escalate errors. - Escalate problems as necessary to vendor support teams. - Quickly and accurately determine incident scope and organizational impact. - Follow up on tickets at pre-defined intervals until resolved. - Update daily status reports and shift handover reports. - Act as a liaison between customers and technical escalation teams. - Train all new employees on the use of basic software and other specialty software programs as appropriate. - Handle setup of desktop equipment for local employees, mail out equipment to remote employees, and work with the HR department to obtain BHR device from employees. - Maintain and report inventory levels to Lead and accurately track BHR owned equipment.
