Associate Director, Reimbursement Strategy

• Support the US Market Access business unit’s comprehensive strategy and tactical execution plan • Execute a comprehensive reimbursement strategy for products • Engage in cross-functional collaboration • Support Government Affairs in building strategic physician relationships • Partner closely with various cross-functional individuals/teams • Inform and educate internal stakeholders on evolving strategic alliances • Engage externally with professional societies to build relationships • Develop and execute AbbVie current and future reimbursed product coverage • Collaborate with brand teams to align product reimbursement strategy • Monitor and interpret CMS policy and regulatory activities • Represent AbbVie’s interests at conferences • Provide top-level reimbursement support to external customers

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS or above, MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales leadership and/or marketing, reimbursement, and/or market access
  • Proficient knowledge of medically reimbursed and medical device industries
  • Strong understanding of the US reimbursement systems and payment methodologies
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory and compliance environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of reimbursement strategy, HCPCS, CPT coding
  • Experience/knowledge working with RBRVS and RUC process
  • Understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure
  • Prior involvement in leading local, regional, and national initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed team environment
