Mobile Service Technician
Atlantic Emergency Solutions
• Analyzing malfunctions and determining the necessary repairs for fire and emergency equipment • Operate and inspect this equipment and evaluate the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating condition • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using their own and company provided specialized tooling • Repair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, various pumps, and basic engine components • Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty.
Job Requirements
- Diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehicles
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening

• Provide first-class on-site hydraulic hose services, including a breakdown/out-of-hours service • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers • Develop the mobile business, exceeding turnover and margin targets for your area • Maintain all stock on your service vehicle • Undertake risk assessments before commencing work and adhere to site health & safety regulations • Participate in an on-call rota, including potential night and weekend work (with paid overtime)
• Navigate hospitals and/or healthcare clinics to locate medical devices • Perform physical inventory, installing tracking devices and beacons • Test, evaluate, and perform preventative maintenance on medical equipment at the customer’s facility • Accurately document service actions in a digital work order • Demonstrate ‘customer is 1st’ culture by taking ownership, doing the right thing, and problem solving • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and safety inspections on a variety of medical equipment • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform basic repairs and adjustments to restore equipment functionality • Conduct physical inventory and asset tracking of medical devices within healthcare facilities • Install and maintain tracking devices and beacons to ensure full facility coverage • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including work orders, PM checklists, and service reports in the Service Information System • Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements • Coordinate service schedules with clinical staff to minimize disruption to patient care • Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and testing equipment required for service delivery • Provide basic end-user support and education on equipment operation and care • Follow established procedures to test, diagnose, recertify, and evaluate devices • Escalate complex repairs or safety concerns to senior technical staff or management • Travel to customer sites locally or nationally; assignments may require extended onsite stays
• Service and support existing customers by responding to service calls • Carry out Customer Support Programs and small projects business • Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software • Analyze repair requirements and provides customer with appropriate solutions • Complete necessary repairs and replacements as needed • May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation • Execute all service calls in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations as well as company health and safety policies and procedures • Work closely with other specialists to cross-train on servicing existing customers
