• Provide training for clients and D2L employees to increase understanding and knowledge of D2L’s products and services • Develop expertise in the entire suite of D2L products • Develop and improve training material, courses and webinars - to include agendas, videos, job aides, leave-behinds, assessment activities, simulations • Conduct needs assessment to develop tailored training plans for clients across all verticals (K12, Higher Education and Corporate) • Execute pre- and post-training support activities or implement reinforcement solutions • Enhance training experience for clients with value-added best practices consultation • Engage with all stakeholders to customize the training material according to the specific needs and characteristics of the intended audience • Combine knowledge of adult learning theory with classroom teaching experience to create impactful and engaging training experiences that focus on the use of technology to transform learning • Keep up to date with Web 2.0 technologies that are used to facilitate eLearning • Track assigned projects and update their progress. • Collaborate with other Trainers to implement the best practices in product training delivery • Promote knowledge sharing within the company • Contribute to internal improvement initiatives as required • Keep up to date with D2L and partner products and processes • Keep up to date with new technology trends to help facilitate client learning solutions • Participate in other billable and non-billable responsibilities as required.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching in a blended learning setting
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience teaching and training adult learners on complex concepts
  • Knowledge of eLearning and/or Learning Management Systems considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to express ideas and information clearly, concisely, and effectively, adapting communication style to suit different audiences and can convey complex concepts in a straightforward manner
  • Excellent presentation skills and persuasive speaking skills for a variety of group sizes
  • Outstanding use of reflective listening and feedback to encourage group involvement, to clarify and expand upon trainee contributions, to guide the direction of the discussion, and to enhance trainees’ understanding of the content and concepts being presented
  • An understanding of the typical stages in the development and mastery of new knowledge and skills, and an ability to develop training materials that promote this sequential development
  • Effective strategies to keep trainees focused, on task, and within established time frames, while remaining responsive to the group needs and concerns
  • Ability to incorporate feedback and participant evaluations to identify opportunities for improving the training.
  • Bilingual – English / Canadian French at an advanced spoken and written level (comfort with European French an asset).
