Territory Manager

Trek Bicycle

• Manage and grow sales of Trek accessories, Electra Bicycles, and Bontrager within the assigned territory. • Set sales targets and manage forecasting, orders, prospecting, and the tracking and advancement of sales opportunities. • Analyze retailer performance and implement strategies to improve sales, assortment, and profitability. • Act as a business consultant to retailers by providing recommendations on merchandising, inventory management, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Select partner retailers, help them develop their potential, and support them to optimize Trek’s market position. • Build long-term trusted relationships through regular in-person visits. • Share product knowledge and deliver sales training to retailer teams. • Ensure brand standards are met for product presentation and in-store experience. • Identify, recruit, and onboard new partner retailers to expand market coverage and grow the distribution network. • Monitor competitor activity and local market trends. • Represent Trek at retailer events, product demonstrations, and promotional activities. • Provide exceptional customer service while consistently embodying Trek’s brand values.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of sales experience, ideally in a consultative sales environment focused on developing business relationships
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and confidently lead sales meetings
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to follow up and plan effectively for a territory
  • Experience in the cycling industry is an asset
  • Comfortable using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and sales tools
  • Preferred: hands-on knowledge of the Ascend point-of-sale software
  • Preferred: good knowledge of the territory and local markets
  • Willingness to travel regularly for business, including occasional trips longer than 24 hours and visits to Trek’s headquarters in Wisconsin
  • Fluent in French to effectively support and communicate with retailers. Proficiency in English (upper-intermediate, written and spoken) is also required.
