Role Description The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including: - Building management and maintenance - Information technology - Centralized contracting and procurement - Budget and financial management - Space planning and leasing - Construction management - Motor vehicle fleet operations - Oversight of the state retirement systems This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB. As a Senior Application Developer, the employee performs a complete range of information system analyst assignments including: - Designing, developing, testing, and implementing computer systems and applications for Child Support Data Warehouse - Providing technical support to other team members - Evaluating new development tools and agency systems The focus of the job is the delivery of business intelligence solutions to customers to facilitate informed business decisions. Responsibilities include: - Mastering knowledge of business practices, workflows, performance indicators, and predictive factors related to the MICSES area of DHS - Working with other data warehouse developers to review existing data warehouse policies and practices - Modifying policies or practices as needed and proposing newly required policies DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT. Qualifications - Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: - Computer science - Data processing - Computer information systems - Data communications - Networking - Systems analysis - Computer programming - Information assurance - IT project management - Mathematics - Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11. Requirements - Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in relevant fields and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or - Two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement. - Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement. This role combines strong technical expertise with collaborative problem solving to design and implement modern web applications, services, and platform capabilities that support efficient content development workflows. The position requires a hands-on engineer who works closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into reliable solutions while contributing across the full software development lifecycle. In addition to technical delivery, the role will mentor other engineers, promote engineering best practices, and help strengthen the team’s overall technical execution and collaboration.
