• Own the technical architecture and long-term evolution of the Web Data Platform. • Define engineering standards, architectural principles, and technical roadmaps. • Lead a team of engineers through technical direction, mentoring, and regular feedback. • Design and build scalable distributed systems for public web data collection. • Drive the evolution of our browser automation platform and data extraction infrastructure. • Solve complex engineering challenges involving JavaScript-heavy websites, browser automation, networking, and anti-bot environments. • Improve scalability, resilience, observability, and operational excellence across the platform. • Review architecture, code, and technical designs to maintain high engineering quality. • Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Platform teams to deliver reliable production systems. • Support hiring, onboarding, and the professional growth of the engineering team. • Help shape the engineering culture through technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Several years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience as a Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, Engineering Lead, or Software Architect.
- Proven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert-level Python.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and high-performance backend systems.
- Strong software architecture and system design skills.
- Experience building production platforms that operate under significant scale and reliability requirements.
- Strong understanding of HTTP, networking, browser internals, JavaScript rendering, cookies, sessions, caching, and modern web technologies.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Strong communication and technical leadership abilities.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

We're looking for a mid-level engineer to own both backend service development and data engineering on a realtime facility navigation and asset-tracking platform for industrial and logistics sites. The platform ingests live positioning and telemetry data from BLE-based tracking hardware, correlates it into events (e.g., asset pickups, movement, dwell time), and exposes it through backend services to web and mobile clients. What You'll Do: - Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs (C#/.NET) that power the platform's core business logic. - Implement and maintain the service layer for asset tracking, facility navigation, and event detection features. - Integrate with third-party positioning/telemetry providers and their APIs. - Define and evolve API contracts in collaboration with the frontend team (web admin portal and mobile app). - Write automated tests, participate in code review, and help keep the codebase maintainable as the platform grows. - Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of backend services in production. Senior Backend Software Engineer – Data Migration Platform

• Build an application that connects to external CRM systems used by acquired agencies, extracts relevant data, and prepares it for migration into Dwelly. • Work with APIs, exports, files, databases and poorly documented legacy systems. • Design workflows for cleaning, mapping, normalising, deduplicating, and validating complex CRM data before it enters Dwelly's core platform. • Build safe import flows with retries, audit logs, dry runs, error handling and manual review where needed. • Work with entities such as landlords, tenants, properties, tenancies, payments and maintenance records. • Use LLM APIs pragmatically for schema mapping, data classification, entity matching, exception triage and quality checks. • Own the platform end to end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support. • Work closely with engineering, product, operations and integration teams.
• Write, test, and deploy clean PHP code to deliver new product functionality. • Troubleshoot production issues, fix bugs, and ensure the application remains stable. • Refactor legacy code and improve existing logic while working on assigned tasks. • Write unit and integration tests to prevent future bugs and regressions. • Participate in grooming sessions to discuss technical solutions and provide time estimates. • Review code from teammates to check for errors and share knowledge. • Build solutions that fit within the existing product architecture and technical standards.
