Job Description

Manager, Reactor Services

Westinghouse Electric Company

• Lead the execution of reactor services projects, including refueling outage support, reactor vessel inspections, reactor internals maintenance, reactor diagnostics, and specialized field services. • Provide technical leadership for reactor maintenance activities, ensuring work is executed in accordance with plant procedures, engineering requirements, NRC regulations, nuclear quality assurance standards, and industry best practices. • Develop project scopes, work packages, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, estimates, and execution strategies for assigned projects. • Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, and key performance indicators to ensure successful project delivery. • Support proposal development, technical estimating, bid preparation, and business development initiatives for reactor service opportunities. • Maintain accurate project documentation, maintenance records, inspection reports, and technical documentation to support operational and business decisions. • Supervise and provide leadership to reactor service technicians, maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and technical specialists during outage and maintenance activities. • Mentor and develop technical personnel through coaching, performance feedback, succession planning, and professional development opportunities. • Foster a culture of nuclear safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting reactor services, refueling outages, reactor maintenance, nuclear plant operations, or related nuclear services.
  • 3+ years of leadership or project management experience overseeing technical teams, outage execution, or field service operations.
  • Strong knowledge of reactor plant systems, reactor vessel components, reactor internals, primary and secondary systems, refueling activities, and nuclear maintenance practices.
  • Thorough understanding of NRC regulations, 10 CFR requirements, ASME Codes, nuclear quality assurance programs, radiological controls, and nuclear safety culture principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, OEM specifications, work packages, and technical procedures.
  • Experience managing complex outage projects, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, and customer expectations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including extended assignments during refueling outages.
