Shinesty
Head of Print Design w/ a Sense of Humor Hybrid Product Full time Denver, Colorado, United States Boulder, Colorado, United States Fort Collins, Colorado, United States Salt Lake City, Utah, United States About Shinesty Shinesty is a fast-growing apparel brand known for bold prints, irreverent humor, and products that don’t take themselves too seriously. Our creative team develops everything from iconic underwear prints to unexpected collaborations, and we pride ourselves on building products that are both clever and dangerously comfortable. Our mothers don’t always approve of what we do, but the millions of people we’ve entertained over the years do. About the Role Shinesty is looking for a highly creative, humor-forward Head of Print Design to lead our print program. This person is the creative force behind some of the most memorable underwear, socks, and apparel on the internet — and they bring equal parts taste, humor, and hustle to every project. On any given week, you might be concepting a Wienerschnitzel collaboration, brainstorming x-rated print ideas, developing kitschy gift-worthy sock collections, or pitching a limited edition collab. You'll need to hold a lot in your head at once — trends, brand voice, humor, product constraints, deadlines — and make it all look effortless on the product. This is a true player-coach position. You'll be designing alongside your team while also leading them — setting the creative direction, managing timelines, giving feedback, and making sure the work stays sharp from concept through production. You bring the vision, you build the culture, and you're not above rolling up your sleeves to get it done. Requirements What You'll Own Creative Direction & Trend Research - Lead seasonal brainstorms across print, graphics, fabric, and design trends — spanning inline, wholesale, collabs, and limited edition - Research competitive and aspirational brands to keep Shinesty's creative output sharp and relevant - Identify and pitch new print techniques - Bring fresh, culturally-aware print concepts to the table every quarter Print Design Execution - Design across all categories - everything from ski, formal, hats, socks, tees, knitwear, but with a focus on underwear - Build custom repeats, reduce color artwork, and deliver production-ready files in Illustrator - Collaborate with the Design team on solid color assortments, novelty treatments, and silhouette development - Delegate work across the print team strategically to hit deadlines without compromising quality - Concept and manage artwork for limited editions, retail and wholesale initiatives. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Ownership - Manage, mentor, and motivate a small print design team — setting clear priorities and a high creative bar - Run print design reviews with the broader team; gather feedback and drive revisions efficiently - Manage the bi-weekly Sprint Board and hold regular team syncs to keep priorities clear and momentum high - Partner with Merch and Ops to improve process and reduce errors across product development - Identify smart opportunities to utilize AI, bring in freelance/VA where it adds capacity Who You Are - 5-10+ years of print or textile design experience in apparel or consumer products - Deep expertise in Adobe Illustrator — repeats, color reductions, and production files are second nature - Extremely strong in curation and taste - A genuine understanding of trend forecasting — you know what's resonating before it peaks - You have a sense of humor and a real appreciation for what makes Shinesty's brand tick — you get the joke and you can make it better - Proven experience leading or mentoring a design team while still being an active contributor - Strong project management skills — you can hold a calendar, run a meeting, and give direct, constructive feedback - Comfortable working across multiple product categories and channels — DTC, wholesale, collabs, and retail - Experience with licensed collaborations, novelty product, or private label is a plus Why This Role You'll have genuine creative ownership at a brand that rewards bold thinking and values craft. Shinesty makes product that people genuinely love — and talk about. If you want to lead a team, design prints that end up on hundreds of thousands of people, and work somewhere that takes humor seriously as a creative discipline, this is the right seat. Benefits THE GOOD STUFF - Relocation budget available (to Denver/Boulder) - Mixed WFH. 2 days in office (Boulder/Denver), 3 days work from wherever. - Competitive salary plus bonus potential - Laptop and whatever other equipment you need to entertain the people - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Dog-friendly office - Flexible PTO, no need to accrue time, take as much as you'd like - Flexible working hours, just get your stuff done and generate results - All the tools and resources you need to be successful in this role

Role Description As a Digital Designer embedded within our client's in-house team, you will be the resident expert in Figma. Working closely with the Studio Project Lead and wider creative and marketing teams, you will be responsible for creating and adapting a broad range of digital assets that serve the client’s brands across multiple channels and touchpoints. Much of the client's existing creative output lives within Figma boards, and your ability to navigate, interrogate, and build upon those established frameworks will be fundamental to the role. From web banners and Google Ads to social assets and landing page designs, you will take briefs and translate them into polished, on-brand digital deliverables. While you won't be responsible for building or coding any of these assets, you'll bring a strong understanding of how design and digital production fit together — appreciating the technical requirements and constraints that shape great digital design. The majority of your work will sit within the B2B space, so an understanding of B2B marketing conventions, audiences, and communication styles will be a distinct advantage. It comes with the expectation that you will own your discipline with confidence — proactively contributing ideas, clearly articulating your design decisions, and presenting your work with authority to both internal teams and client stakeholders. As the team's go-to digital design expert, you will set the bar for quality and bring a level of craft and strategic awareness that elevates everything you touch. What you'll be doing: - Working within and across existing client Figma boards to create, adapt, and scale digital assets with precision and consistency. - Designing a wide range of digital marketing assets including web banners, social media content, Google Ads, and landing page designs, tailored for their respective platforms and audiences. - Interpreting creative briefs and translating them into compelling, on-brand digital designs that align with broader marketing and campaign objectives. - Ensuring all design output is optimised for its intended digital environment, with a clear understanding of how assets function within the wider digital ecosystem. - Maintaining and evolving design consistency across Figma boards, keeping files organised, accessible, and easy for the wider team to navigate and utilise. - Proactively bringing creative ideas and design solutions to briefs, rather than waiting to be directed — pushing the work beyond the expected. - Presenting design concepts and final deliverables confidently to internal teams and client stakeholders, articulating the thinking behind your creative decisions. - Supporting the wider creative team with design production where needed, using tools such as Adobe Photoshop to complement and enhance your Figma workflow. - Staying across digital design trends, platform specifications, and emerging tools to ensure the team's output remains current, relevant, and best-in-class. Qualifications - Expert-level proficiency in Figma — this is non-negotiable. - A strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing across a range of digital formats, including web banners, social assets, Google Ads, and landing pages. - A solid understanding of how digital assets are built and deployed, with the technical awareness to design with production in mind. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, as a complementary tool to your Figma-led workflow would be advantageous. - Experience working within a B2B marketing context is a significant advantage. - Exceptional attention to detail, with a refined eye for typography, layout, colour, and hierarchy across digital formats. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present and defend your creative decisions to stakeholders at all levels. - A proactive, solutions-focused mindset — you take ownership of your work, anticipate needs, and consistently look for ways to improve the output without being prompted. - The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and delivering to deadlines without compromising quality. - Strong collaboration skills and the interpersonal confidence to work fluidly across creative, marketing, and account teams. Requirements - Req ID: 18176 - LI-TT1 - #LI-REMOTE - #SENIOR - #BTG Benefits - Equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive working environment. - Encouragement for all employees to reach their full potential, valuing individual differences. - Consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, neurodivergence, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by local laws. - Ambitious environmental goals around sustainability, with science-based emissions reduction targets.
