Role Description We're looking for a Lead Designer for a website design and development agency focused on building strategic, accessible WordPress sites for growing businesses. If you are strategic, detail-oriented, and fluent in Figma and WordPress, keep reading! - Join client discovery calls, then independently develop the creative brief and sitemap - Build page-by-page wireframes that reflect user flow, information hierarchy, and accessibility, mapped to how WordPress actually works - Develop full creative direction in Figma: mood boards, typography, color systems, photography direction, and design systems - Design email campaigns across platforms like HubSpot, Square, Klaviyo, and Kit - Coordinate the creative process, from designer hand-offs to copy integration before client delivery - Review deliverables for quality before they reach the client - Present wireframes and creative direction directly to clients - Occasionally support print and collateral projects like brand guides and one-pagers Qualifications - A portfolio showing website design, email, and brand work, with evidence of strategic thinking beyond visual execution - Demonstrated ability to wireframe for user experience: hierarchy, flow, and conversion intent - A UX-informed approach with working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards - Experience running creative process in an agency environment: briefing designers, giving directional feedback, and QA-ing against a brief - Strong, current, digital-first visual design sensibility - Proficiency in Figma for both wireframing and high-fidelity design - Experience designing email campaigns across platforms like HubSpot, Klaviyo, Kit, or Square - Deep WordPress fluency as a designer: understanding page types, templates, and the structural implications of design decisions Skills that will make you stand out - Familiarity with the Relume Figma Kit or similar component libraries - Comfort using AI tools, especially Claude, as a creative collaborator - Familiarity with Canva for brand collateral and non-web design work - Day-to-day familiarity with Figma, Asana, Notion, and Google Workspace Benefits - 10 days of PTO - Salary in USD - US holidays - Opportunity to work in an amazing environment
