Mortgage Loan Originator
Luminate Bank
• Originate residential mortgage loans by developing and maintaining relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources • Assist clients in selecting the best mortgage product based on their financial situation and goals • Guide clients through the mortgage application process, including completing loan applications and gathering necessary documentation • Analyze applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility • Present loan options and explain terms and conditions to clients in a clear and understandable way • Ensure all loans meet underwriting guidelines and comply with state and federal regulations • Communicate with underwriters, processors, and other parties to ensure timely loan approvals and closings • Keep current with market trends, loan products, and changes in mortgage regulations • Meet established sales goals and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Loan Originator, or similar role
- Valid NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) license
- Knowledge of loan origination systems (LOS) and mortgage lending guidelines (e.g., FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loans)
- Strong understanding of financial documentation and credit analysis
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and sales skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- High level of integrity and strong ethical standards
