Junior Protection & Control Specialist
Shermco Industries
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of protective relays, RTUs, and communication equipment • Support testing of feeders, transformers, breakers, and substation systems • Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics • Assist with relay testing (SEL, GE) under supervision • Collect and document field data and test results • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle • Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (co-op/internship considered)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or similar field
- Basic knowledge of power systems is an asset
- Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across BC
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
