• Contribute to CRS’s mission of serving poor and vulnerable communities by developing compelling, donor-focused proposals that secure resources for high-impact programs. • Serve as lead writer for concept notes, expression of interests, and proposals. • Collaborate with the proposal coordinator, technical design lead and sector leads, and other proposal team members and stakeholders to develop well-written, well-organized and cohesive concept notes, expressions of interest and proposals. • Manage communications with the technical design lead and proposal coordinator throughout the proposal development process to ensure expectations are aligned and deadlines are met. • Serve as editor for complex technical proposals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, international development or related field.
- Minimum eight years of experience in international development, with at least three of those years writing competitive funding proposals or other persuasive, audience-focused technical communication.
- Master’s degree in English, communications, international development or related field preferred.
- At least three years' experience in a developing country preferred.
- Extensive experience writing competitive proposals for a variety of bilateral and multilateral donors and across technical areas, including agriculture, food security, resilience, health and emergency response.
- Demonstrated experience, particularly as a lead writer, contributing to competitive applications and proposals in programming contexts similar to those in which CRS operates.
- Experience leading technical writing and sectoral knowledge in one or more of the following sectors: agriculture, food security, resilience, health and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities - Talk to a wide variety of new business contacts - including Owners, Property Managers, and Managers. - Cold call and prospect for leads to companies that could benefit from the new offer. - Maintain email and phone conversations with warm prospects to determine the driving factor in the purchase or sign-up decision. - Become a product/offer expert and learn strategies to communicate product/offer value. - Continually increase product knowledge by working closely with the Operations Supervisor. - Clearly communicate business decision drivers, costs, and benefits to showcase the product/offer as a strategic advantage. Qualifications - One to three years of B2B experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or customer-centric role. - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. - Experience working with Salesforce.com CRM and SalesLoft is preferable. - Tech Sales, SaaS, and Cloud experience required. - Superior customer service, cold calling, and data entry skills. - Strong over-the-phone communication and online presentation skills. - Advocate for customers and prospects by building rapport to identify their key needs and determine possible solution-sets. - Desire to think creatively and use problem-solving skills to assure customer satisfaction. - Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. - Intermediate to advanced experience navigating multiple windows to provide accurate information to end users (multiple screens recommended but not required). - Flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to hit targets and exceed expectations. - Must reside in one of the following states: AR, FL, GA, IL, KS, NH, NJ, OH, TN, TX, PA, VA. - High school diploma or equivalent, College degree preferred. • Develop and execute regional business development strategies that support annual revenue and growth targets. • Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities across assigned federal government markets. • Build, manage, and advance a healthy pipeline of net-new, expansion, prime, and teaming opportunities. • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales and capture cycles from early customer engagement through contract award. • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with government decision-makers, mission leaders, influencers, and procurement stakeholders. • Understand agency missions, challenges, and priorities to position Trace3 Government as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. • Expand existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities aligned to customer needs. • Develop regional account plans, capture strategies, and pursuit plans that align customer priorities with Trace3 Government capabilities. • Partner with marketing, alliances, and technology partners to generate demand and create joint pursuit opportunities. • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, agency priorities, and procurement vehicles to identify actionable growth opportunities. • Collaborate with proposal, sales engineering, delivery, contracts, and program management teams to shape customer solutions and competitive proposals. • Support proposal development, RFP responses, pricing strategy, partner coordination, and contract negotiations. • Ensure a smooth transition from capture and sales to delivery while maintaining strong customer engagement after award.
• Utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT and other productivity platforms) to improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, generate business insights, and support company growth initiatives. • Conduct lead generation by researching potential clients, qualifying prospects, and building targeted contact lists. • Perform outbound cold calls to prospective clients, introduce company services, and schedule appointments or follow-up meetings. • Research companies, markets, competitors, and industry trends to identify new business opportunities. • Maintain accurate records of leads, communications, and follow-up activities within the CRM system. • Assist with executive administrative tasks, including calendar management, email organization, scheduling, and document preparation. • Track company expenses and organize financial records for reporting. • Manage bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks (required), including expense categorization, invoice management, and basic financial recordkeeping. • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and summaries to support business decisions. • Organize digital files, documents, and operational records. • Identify opportunities to improve processes and recommend more efficient systems and workflows. • Take ownership of assigned projects, follow through with minimal supervision, and proactively solve problems. • Perform additional administrative and business support tasks as assigned.
