Role Description As a Talent Acquisition Partner (CEMI), you will serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, partnering with leaders across the university to attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent. In this highly collaborative role, you will develop and execute recruitment strategies, build competitive applicant pools, and guide hiring managers and search committees through every stage of the hiring process. Your expertise will help ensure a consistent, efficient, and equitable hiring process while delivering an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring partners. Beyond managing searches, you will help shape the university's recruitment practices by identifying process improvements, developing training and resources, leveraging data to evaluate recruiting effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with university policies and employment regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with hiring managers to develop and execute strategic recruitment plans that attract highly qualified talent. - Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates for advancement. - Consult with hiring managers and search committees throughout the hiring process, providing guidance on recruitment strategies, best practices, and equitable hiring. - Build and maintain competitive talent pipelines using proactive sourcing strategies and market insights. - Collaborate with hiring managers and local HR partners to develop competitive employment offers and successfully close candidates. - Ensure compliance with university policies, employment laws, and recruitment best practices while maintaining accurate recruitment documentation. - Design, develop, and deliver recruitment training, tools, and resources that promote consistent hiring practices across the university. - Analyze recruiting metrics and trends to evaluate effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide data-driven recommendations. - Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance recruitment processes, the candidate experience, and hiring outcomes. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), two-year term endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY, with the possibility of extension. This position is fully remote. However, this remote work arrangement is subject to change at any time. Typical work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Qualifications - A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or similar with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience using a consultative approach to partner with hiring authorities to develop recruitment strategies and timelines. - Experience managing full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, prescreening, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and hiring. - Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, particularly the ability to influence without direct authority with a wide range of stakeholders. - Experience in developing rapport with high performing internal and external talent pools. - Demonstrated social media presence and desire to use emerging recruiting next generation platforms. - Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. - Active listening skills. - Demonstrated ability to articulate both positive and negative feedback to candidates in a professional manner. - Experience modeling values that support inclusion, belonging, and wellbeing. - Ability to advocate for individuals from a broad range of backgrounds. - Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
